At my local grocery store this week picking up items to help restock a local pregnancy center, I came across an older man looking distressed at the many options of expensive formula in front of him. I asked if he needed help to find what he was looking for, because I know that can be overwhelming. Ive got eight kids and have spent many hours doing the same thing.
He said he knew what he needed but it was so darn expensive. Yes, it is, I said. He told me he needed to get it for his daughter, who was in town because she lost her job due to the coronavirus.
We parted ways and I just felt a pull to get a couple cans of formula for him, which I purchased, then went to find him. When I gave him the cans, he broke down in tears. He said he had been contemplating how to steal those cans because hes on a fixed income and couldnt afford the formula to help his daughter...

Thanks for the post!
Thank you for posting this article.
Very nice article. Thank you.
I was at a local business the other day (not a grocery store) and reflected after I left on how short-tempered and isolated people in my neighborhood are these days.
I can hardly wait for this madness to be over.
It’s not the response to the virus, it’s the virus.
No, the virus did not cause that guys daughter to lose her job.
Written by a Planned Parenthood worker who finally saw the light. Thanks for posting.
What job did she do? The virus was taking a toll on the economy before the lock downs. Airline traffic was through the floor. Restaurant traffic was down. The stock market was already falling.
One thing that was pointed out in the article, was that we all can make a difference by donating time or money to a specific charity.
In my area, we have Kroger grocery stores. As part of your Kroger Rewards program they have Community Rewards. A small percentage of your purchases go to your designated charity. I have chosen my church.
Amazon Prime has a similar program called Amazon Smiles and a percentage of your purchases go to your designated charity. I have selected - A Beacon Of Hope Womens Center Inc.
Bit by bit we can all make a difference and tune out all of the naysayers.
See.
You must be afraid.
You must be frightened.
You are going to die!
You are going to starve!
There is so much you should be afraid of!
Vote Democrat!
What a horrible, horrible thing to do to your fellow citizens.
Terrify them so theyll vote Democrat.
It is as dark a thing as anything written by Tolkien.
I’m so sick...of hearing that everything bad happening is “...due to COVID-19.” and “...because of the corona virus.” That’s bullshit. It’s because of the response to it.
In my area, Kroger clerks ask us if we would like to round up to the next nearest dollar with the money going to the local regional food distribution center that services the area’s food banks.
Just as aside at no store here in South Carolina that I’ve seen can one buy formula from a store’s aisle. It’s all locked in a case or kept behind the customer service counter.
Stop spreading your lies and disinformation around here. Everybody knows what you really are so go crawl back under your rock.
Our Kroger does as well. Log in to your Kroger account and go to the left side of the screen under - My Account, you will see community rewards. Simply enroll in the program and designate your charity and it is automatically done with each purchase as long as you put in your Rewards Card information.
This is separate from any other program and you must enroll.
Also, Kroger has a prescription program that is $36 for the first person and $72 for up to 5 people or pets. I have scaled back my work insurance and save more money on the Kroger RX plan, plus you get Fuel Points (50 points minimum for each prescription you get filled. I paid .12 cents per gallon to fill up my truck last month. My total was less than $5.50
The Left wants us to lose our humanity.
Those who have lost their sense of humanity are easier to control.
Stockholm Syndrome, we are being conditioned by our captors.
The evidence is below. Now who's lying> DannyTN or Redplum?
Economy was tanking before the lock downs.
Mar 20, California becomes the first state order lock down
Chart showing the stock market tanking long before the first lock down
Chart showing airline traffic plummeting before the lock downs. Keep in mind, the airlines have never been locked down. They were strongly pressured NOT to shut down.
Chart showing Restaurant traffic falling before first lock down.
Fall off in many industries prior to California's lock down.
