Statistical visualization of the distance a typical person moves on a daily basis. As stay-at-home orders eased in April, you can see the movement start up again in some, but not all states. Currently, there are no states normal.
The data is from anonymized and aggregated cell phone data.

Meanwhile, since my job was considered essential my schedule really hasn't changed much.
I’m in the northeast and have not been staying home - but my cell phone has.
Sums me up perfectly. Even my wife pointed it out the other night. I just left the room and went back into my den.
Liberals get mad as states go back to normal.
I haven’t stayed home, no mask no gloves..
Yep. I wander into my shop and work on something. Sprinklers, lawn mower, quad-runner , etc etc. need parts? Internet and UPS. Wife says the lockdown is about over. I says what lockdown? Being a loner aint all bad.
Personally speaking,, I have to say that the lockdown has been an introverts dream come true.
Things are tough when a major trip is going to the WalMart in the next town down from your regular WalMart.
A man after my own heart. The garage is where I hope to be tomorrow. While the wife is at work, mind you. Yes, I need a second set of hands sometimes, but she acts like it’s such a bother to get her fat ass off the sofa and come help me with a project, so I otherwise get more work done when she’s not there. And eBay and UPS are rock-ribbed lifelines to me, although I do love to dress like a human and go explore Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply Co. I never walk out of either empty-handed, even if I just went in to browse. You know how us guys are - we didn’t need that third power drill, but this one is cordless and has three reverse speeds, plus a kit with ten more bits I already have a thousand of already but can never find. And dang it, this pneumatic chisel is gonna come in handy for something one day, you just watch. LOL! ROTFLMAO!
And the Mountain West states largely ignored the shutdown. They shouldn’t have scheduled it in the Spring.
Yeah I got this little 23hp or so Ford tractor and front end loader with hooks that I welded on. Me and Mr tractor lift my riding mower, if it aint in the shop to pull and sharpen the blade. Then me and him take the garden under siege and plant corn, peas, beans, and what ever else mama wants. I go in to my hardware store that I know like I own it and run in and out. I like my neighbors but we just wave across our pastures and gardens. Thats normal. If they need help they call. The only lockdown Ive noticed the most is the churchs not active on Sundays. Im not much for organized religion but I like the neighbors enjoying their weekends. Idaho is country, we farm, fornicate, raise kids, and try to be Christian to everyone. Gods country covers lots of ground. I got family spread everywhere and say a prayer for all. I dont need a visit Ill just say a prayer and be there when help is needed.
Amen and roger that.
Bump
Here’s another ‘maybe it’s just me’ personality quirk: I know we all like sunny days, but you ever just as much enjoy a cold, gray, drizzly evening, with a fire going, your wife off cuddled up in a quilt in another room, the family pets snoozing hither and yon (even in your lap)? You know, Hounds of the Baskervilles weather, and you just wanna binge on old movies like that before you go to bed? That pre-Thanksgiving/Post-Christmas window when everything is damp, foggy, and gray, like the English moors?
That’s my favorite kind of weather. My wife, however, disagrees.
Ah, but we are speaking of Men of Certain Distinction. My den is carpeted, paneled, it contains bookshelves, an electric fireplace with half-moon pet fireplace rug in front, rifle and fishing pole racks, a ham/CB radio shack, full private bath, an electric candle in the center windowpane, fleece throws on the chairs and birch ottoman, a 18” flatscreen with Roku, three computers KVM switched with Win10, Linux Mint, and Xindows XP with a 32” monitor, and a full bath. The colder, rainier, and nastier it gets outside, the more that cats and I hunker down. I am my own Winter Lodge.
Any COVID spikes since the riots started? Pandemic or SCAMdemic?
Amen and Amen.
