Gavin Newsom seems to be making an ultimatum to the federal government: He says if California doesn’t receive more federal assistance, first responders, including healthcare workers and police, could be the first to be laid off.

Newsom’s announcement comes on the same day his state is kicking off a program to provide coronavirus relief to illegal aliens. The state is chipping in $75 million to give families up to $1,000, with philanthropic groups expected to contribute another $50 million, bringing the total to $125 million for what the California Department of Social Services estimates will help close to 150,000 undocumented adults.

I’m just a crazy Pennsylvanian, and not a sensible Californian like Gavin Newsom, but wouldn’t it make more sense to pay your first responders, and lay off the illegal aliens?

When leftists are aiming for more taxes, or not enough bugetary money, they always begin with threatened, then active cuts to infrastructures that make citizens feel safe.
Police
Fire
Medical care
Teachers
And now they’ve stooped to threatening cuts for prisons.
Each targeted safety infrastructure cost reduction has the ultimate goal of causing fear...which motivates the movement toward the revenue increase they’re playing to gain.
Here is the leftist move they want to telegraph “unless we get a bailout, we’re going to release prisoners in your neighborhood”. They want us afraid, so we would look for them “save us”.

And also exposed the waste, fraud and abuse that got these municipalities, counties and states in the mess that their in. Which tells everyone who’s side the press chooses.

The older I've got the less impressed I've become with cops and teachers - most I've met are pretty pathetic personally once you get to know them.
Firefighters they still run into burning building possibly my house - I can handle a little of their greed.
So we have that AND the massive illegal problem - but eveyone seems to have a mowed lawn 60 days into the lockdown - so its all good
