Anyone remember these?
They've been off market for years. My Mom cured everything from a cold to chicken pox with this stuff. We all took it. It is QUININE.. similar to the malaria drug they are testing for the Pelosi (China) Virus. Quinine is the generic form of the brand-name drug qualaquin, a medication used to treat uncomplicated P. falciparum malaria, a specific type of malaria.

Six Cold and Flu Medicines youre Not Taking Today (And for Good Reason) In History & Culture / 27 January 2015 Smithsonian Insider
There was another one. 3. Capsules of Cinnamon and Quinine
Sold around the 1900s, these tablets claimed to be for the relief and cure of influenza and colds. Cinnamons active chemical cinnamaldehyde is said to help reduce inflammation and fight bacteria and fungi, which would certainly come in handy when getting over a cold or the flu, and some people still take it today. Quinine is now used to treat malaria, as it kills the parasites living in red blood cells.
INTERESTING how quinine got banned from so many popular medicines.
"In 2006 the first "new" monopoly that was created by this FDA process was for the malaria drug quinine sulfate. This left only Mutual Pharmaceutical Company to manufacture quinine in the US (pdf). While malaria is not a disease that affects many people in the US, it is big business worldwide. Malaria causes 300 to 500 million infections and over 1 million deaths each year. Treating this disease with quinine used to cost pennies a day. In fact, the British turned this treatment into a cocktail, the gin and tonic (quinine water)." https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20110324/02181913605/fda-suddenly-bans-drugs-that-have-been-market-decades.shtml~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [snip- link for pictures.. 4 Way Cold Tablets]
i was shocked to find out that Mercurochrome was no longer available when i went looking for some a few years ago.
cinnamon, ginger, tumeric
are all anti-inflammatory and all mild antibiotics
i take them with every meal to help digestion
they are also great aids for digestion and gut health, especially if you have bowel issues that involve inflammtion of the tissues
funny, i used that, it was really good
Hopefully, some people soon will develop tonic waters infused with quinine and other medicinal plant extracts and vitamins that are enhanced with natural flavors and actually taste good.
People can make a lot of money growing the plants, formulating them, mixing up the beverage, distributing it, and selling it.
I still have a few quinine tablets lying around from an old prescription. I take them (rarely) for leg cramps.
check ebay, you can get it there
mercurochrome
you might be low on b vitamins and potassium if you are getting leg cramps, also possibly dehydrated
“cinnamon, ginger, tumeric”
Me too! Turmeric not so much.
They are going NUTS over at the DUmp. Very funny!
.
I remember one night having a cramp that just would not stay away. I'd just be drifting off to sleep when it would strikle again. Took half a quinine, cramp was history.
I think it has mercury.
You can get all the quinine you want if you drink gin and tonics. That’s why the British soldiers started mixing tonic with gin. They were given the tonic to ward of malaria while on duty in India.
The gin made it taste better.
the turmeric with black pepper combo works better for some than just straight turmeric.
usually if with food it shouldn’t be too much of an issue
Yep, they think they really got Trump this time, he’s killing himself just to prove he was right.
Schweppes Tonic Water.
Schweppes Tonic Water combines carbonated water with bittersweet quinine and is caffeine free. Make Schweppes Tonic Water your go to mixer for cocktails or enjoy as a soft drink alternative. Live excellently with the classic taste of Schweppes Tonic Water.
Mercury ? Not surprising. Its. one thing to roll it around on your desk and stuff. quite different exposing to open wounds.
The tonic water today doesn’t have much quinine in it.
