I thought I would share what recently happened to me. About 10 days ago, I come out of a liquor store and in the parking lot I met an individual I have not seen for about 10 years. He was not wearing a mask but was wearing the surgical gloves. We talked a little, caught up on our families. As we parted I said I was going to go out as much as I can. He said he was going to huddle at home. I replied, "Not me. I'm a citizen, not a subject." Then we parted ways.
Today my brother went to the Giant - we live in Maryland - without a mask on. He was immediately harassed by employees and customers, and even cursed at by customers. His reply to them was "I'm a citizen, not a subject."
I tell these two tales because I think we should reply to these socialists and sheep with "I'm a citizen, not a subject." Also, I am going to try to get a dusk mask and write on it in red ink "THIS IS THE FACE OF SOCIALISM." I think if we not only challenge the socialist sheep but also ridicule them, it would hurry up the reopening.
So, no diaper face for you?
If I worked there and the company had a standing order for all customers to wear face masks, then I would have replied:
"Great -- you're a citizen, not a subject. Now you get your ass out of here and be a citizen somewhere else."
Yup. Once a child, always a child.
You think those belligerent things because it was just too easy to gaslight you into it.
The private property argument is one part of it.
The other is personal space. In normal times, most would be offended if someone crowded up against them (not counting inherently crowded venues like subways or mosh pits). These aren’t normal times, and the accepted distance seems to be 6 feet. So, if you don’t wear a facemask, and get with 6 feet of people, you can expect them to object.
I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed or numbered. My life is my own.
“I” is definitely the subject of the sentence, I am a citizen.
Business are screwed they get guide lines from the CDC...
That is why WalMart is counting people in the store...
If they do not follow the guide lines...the slip and fall lawyers will have a field day
True enough about private businesses setting their own rules. I just wouldn’t patronize the business — especially a supermarket — where the store more resembles an infirmary in some third-world fauci-hole country or an antifa convention than a grocery store. It’s disgusting to shop for food in a place where everybody “looks sick” wearing a mask. Ugh!
You’re a citizen.
You’re a subject, as in you’re subject to laws.
You’re an idiot.
You’re an idiot subject citizen.
You may want to check in with Jamie Dimon, Steve Mnuchin, and David Solomon before drawing any conclusions on that.
Am I correct that you would also be ok, if the privately owned store next door, kicked you out if you were wearing a mask?
I got beat up this morning here a little bit for saying I’d avoid going certain places if a mask were required.
never wore a face mask in public. Only when the grocery stores “require” it. But gas stations etc...no mask.
I aint a face mask fag..
Name the Statute he was breaking.
I dare you.
You are a subject.
Right, I really believe that along with the latest news flash: Elvis and JFK found alive on the Moon playing golf near the wrecked DC3.
Anyone that does anything digital, which includes being here at FR, risks being indexed, stamped numbered & filed as anything digital is that good old Koolaid that’s wide open to surveillance. If you are using Windows 10, you can be guaranteed the Bill Gates wing of the Swamp is well aware of any and all done on your computer.
The only way you can be anywhere close to thinking your life is your own is by being 100% off the grid. Period.
“more resembles an infirmary in some third-world fauci-hole country or an antifa convention than a grocery store.”
Thank you!! I avoid going places where a mask is required. I’m making masks for the fearful because I have a stash of fabric that needs to be used. But I don’t plan on wearing one myself unless I visit elderly people.
