There will be massive bailouts. I hope FR realizes this. Most Americans are in debt anyway, fiscal conservatives are declining. This virus will damage this economy and the nation. My governor Phil Murphy wants a NJ Transit aid package. It's over.
Mass transit is a giant pig, it needs public money to exist, it is never really profitable but in some cases it does help with congestion.
However if no one is taking the trains or need less trains, lay off workers and work with w skeleton crew until rider ship increases again.
But public employees are the only people that can never feel any pain during a down turn they are all fragile and special
Rat governors are drooling over bailout money.
Murphy, Cuomo, Lamont and Newsom wants aid. NOW.
Hopefully we bring manufacturers back to the USA after this and we actually come out stronger.

Yes and declare the Chinese Virus an Act of War, confiscate all their US holdings and refuse to repay any debts we have with them.

Not one mention of spending offsets. If a wind storm hits and damages the roof well I guess no big vacation this year. That calculation does not happen with Fed spending. Could we not at least reduce the foreign aid to help for all of this?
The deficit has existed since the Bush days, and possibly before that with the Clintons.
In the long run we’re all Keynesian’s.
And you can bet the hotelier Trump will be giving bailouts to casinos, cruise lines, airlines, hotels, theme parks, etc.
The US government has run a deficit almost every year since 1970. Much of the deficit is funded by T-bills, much of which is owned by the fed. While the Fed is privately owned, they can be voided. All paper being shuffled around.

I absolutely agree with you there.
Every dime of non-essential “foreign aid” should be immediately suspended to help Americans.
And call it America First Aid.
Well at least the rest of the world is right there with us.
