I am in Cary, North Carolina. Here is what I just saw.
Just came back from the Harris Teeter off of
270 Grande Heights Dr
Harrison Pointe Shopping Center
Cary, NC 27513
This store is normally well stocked, and you never have trouble finding anything. This morning it was about 65% full. Cleaning supplies, TP, meat, milk and bread were all very low or gone.
The body washes were low. There were lots of empty shelves.
I was listening to the the employee at the cash register. She said there were a lot of people coming into the store and buying anywhere from $600 to $800 worth of groceries. Harris Ts said they were trying to restock the shelves, but the demand was so hight they were having trouble keeping up.I could see the store was restocking the shelves, but wow I have never seen it so empty!
As long as President Trump can keep the supply chain moving, then we will be in good shape. This is evidence on why we should not be so dependent on China for everything. If this was the 1990s and going back, then this would not even be an issue. Thanks to the stupid politicians that sold us out. It is a modern version of the Indian Chiefs selling out their tribes for guns, booze and trinkets.
Went to the local flyfishing shop yesterday. Customer level was typical, about 3-4 people in the store. We talked fishing and people were dismissive of “the looneys”. Same attitude at the music store nearby. But we are in a Colorado ranching area and people are calmer in general here. Crowding causes panic. Wife going to the gym today as usual. She does say the help and the customers are better about cleaning the machines, etc.
“I am just reporting what I see happening.”

Reality is a hoax, doncha know.
Still,. You’d be better served reading a good book.
Shoprite, Stamford, CT: store appears fully stocked (with one exception: chicken) and everything calm.
Oh but us older folks are sons a bs because we support Trump.
We dont know S you know..
Well, gas is $1.99 at the local Walmart Murphy’s!
I’m in San Jose. I’ve heard Costco has been crazy so I’ve avoided.
Hubby and I went to Trader Joe’s on Tuesday and it was crowded and I told him we need to avoid it.
Our local Lucky’s has been great. I went at 10 am and it wasn’t crowded and they had full aisle of TP and unstocking more.
Lucky’s still had rice and beans and soups.
The only thing I can’t find is hand sanitizer and some cleaning supplies.
Wanted to make tacos. All tortillas from the main stores out locally here In Longmont, Colorado.
For those here who say make your own bread or tortillas, many people dont have the equipment to do so. Especially those living in apartments or in shared housing.
I’m telling you they are inducing panic and the desired impact.
I was on an official local government conference call and they are beginning to ask what are the legal requirements necessary to force, under law, quarantine. No gatherings larger than 250 people are allowed, again by government fiat. We seem to be inching toward an incremental government lockdown, if not martial law. The government is quickly filling the fear vacuum.
All schools are canceled statewide, people didn’t plan to have the kids home, that requires more food on hand leading to near panic buying.
My wife works in our K-8 school district office in our suburban town. Our high schools just closed. She was pointing out yesterday the natural tendency of high school kids to congregate together when out of school as well as rebel against authority. So the whole school shutdown may be pointless.

T’aint nuthin! I was chewing the fat with Jethro and Goober at Sam Drucker’s General Store an’ we done decided it was all a hoax, too! Fake news, cuz they’s nuthin happeninn in Hooterville, I tell you what!
i have been wondering if we can figure out what precooked chikin brands are those that are exporting US chikins to china for processing and something (who knows what origin) is being shipped back labeled product of USA?
those brands should be running out at some point.
There will be lots of unintended consequences for sure.
I caught a guy stocking at 7 am. There is a limit of 5 per item. He unwrapped the spray lysol box and i took one for my shoes.. He put those out and two boxes of lysol wipes. Next thing i know...one dude came and swiped it all into his cart
The Common Core Zombies of the Apocalypse are raiding the stores. It will likely ebb when their pantries and refrigerators/freezers become full.
At one of the stores I go to, the bottled water was gone (the zombies apparently think the municipal water supply will cease operation soon).
” As long as President Trump can keep the supply chain moving,
When did that become a Federal responsibility? “
Look at it this way - if the federal government wanted to STOP supply chain movement, they easily could (with regulations that act as roadblocks).
But even today there are HUGE ROADBLOCKS that businesses have to work around (regulations, unions, etc.), all caused or enabled by government. If we are SERIOUS about bringing production home, then we need to get that crap out of the way. When we start to see that happening, I’ll be a lot happier with Trump. So far, just a few things (masks, drugs, etc.), but much more is needed.
Little Mikey said anyone can be a farmer! LOL...the little idiot.

Agreed. But the Fed leviathan has been growing for decades and the roots are sunk deep. Its not going to be fixed in 4 years, or even 8.

Argh. I need to go the store but do NOT want to run into this.
I ordered online for delivery tomorrow for stuff I need. We'll see how that goes.
