I am in Cary, North Carolina. Here is what I just saw.
Just came back from the Harris Teeter off of
270 Grande Heights Dr
Harrison Pointe Shopping Center
Cary, NC 27513
This store is normally well stocked, and you never have trouble finding anything. This morning it was about 65% full. Cleaning supplies, TP, meat, milk and bread were all very low or gone.
The body washes were low. There were lots of empty shelves.
I was listening to the the employee at the cash register. She said there were a lot of people coming into the store and buying anywhere from $600 to $800 worth of groceries. Harris Ts said they were trying to restock the shelves, but the demand was so hight they were having trouble keeping up.I could see the store was restocking the shelves, but wow I have never seen it so empty!
As long as President Trump can keep the supply chain moving, then we will be in good shape. This is evidence on why we should not be so dependent on China for everything. If this was the 1990s and going back, then this would not even be an issue. Thanks to the stupid politicians that sold us out. It is a modern version of the Indian Chiefs selling out their tribes for guns, booze and trinkets.
Bread? They have a shortage of BREAD?
How GD STUPID can people be?
In this day and age nobody can purchase a bag of flour and yeast and make their own?
Hell..you can make anything including egg noodle if you’ve the mind and gumption.
Lazy and worthless...
Go buy some buck sixty five gas, ride around, and help out the domestic oil industry!
MAGA!
Costco has had a run on large bags of flour. I imagine most will be returned next month.
Aint getting it in the neck from me. YOU ARE correct.
I mean..they cant make BREAD!
Home, with all that time on their hands and they cant make a loaf of bread.
Most people do not even know how to change a car tire.
This is what happens to a society that has become lazy and decadent.
Adversity makes men and builds societies. Prosperity over time that is not kept in check with adversity builds monsters.
Double +1
Double +1
What is the mortality rate for Vanities?
As long as President Trump can keep the supply chain moving, then we will be in good shape.
Do you think Predident Trump ought to drive the semi full of toilet paper from Maine to Alabama himself, or should he have someone in FedGov force a random individual with a CDL to do it at gunpoint?
They also sell huge bags of rice, maybe 40 lbs? I always see Indian folks hauling those toward the checkout.
Not everyone reads Free Republic, and this is already happening.
I am just reporting what I see happening. The shelves were already empty this morning. Free Republic did not cause it.
My sister was pointing out how schools have become the main feeding station for da yutes as well as the main daycare for da yutes. Education has become a tertiary importance. Now that schools are being cancelled, there’s a huge uproar over who is going to feed da yutes and take care of them during the day. It appears that a lot of Americans can no longer do ANYTHING for themselves.
Good deal.
I guess it is only happening in the bigger cities.
LOL!
I would not doubt that one bit.
A five pound bag of flour will make a good many loaves of bread for a couple.
Ten pounds would last a long time. A staple of the diet.
Lots of OTC medicine out of stock. All that shit made in Communist China. No thanks to Communist Chinese lobbyists, country of origin not on the label.., And the filthy Communist China are cutting off the USA. Went to 4 stores in Longmont, Colorado - Target, Walmart, King Soopers (Kroger), and Safeway. No OTC anything. Had to buy an expensive small bottle of Advil at a 7-11. People are angry at the store. I told one lady the blame solely is on Communist China. Thats what everyone should tell everyone.
Stop blaming Trump, stop blaming Democrats. Blame Communist China.
I dont blame her! Look at how many people come through that line on any given shift. I am a personal shopper. Every day I shop for and deliver groceries to other people. I am not working this weekend Because all of the people in my area have gone bat shit crazy. The amount of money I could make is astronomical but the aggravation level is just not worth it to me. Meat cases have been completely wiped out. Bread, milk, eggs, of course anything Lysol, TP, Tylenol, cold medicine, antibacterial anything totally gone. People have gone insane. They are like vultures. Buying things just to buy
Well said!
Exactly my thoughts about the panic and hysteria.
Problem, reaction and solution.

Wow. That’s a great sub to go through.
Employees think their customers are either crazy or overreacting.
Yep I stocked early a month ago made homemade tortillas yesterday for first time it took 4 cups of flour to make about 18. My son loved them
I’m assuming there will be a spike in mischief, vandalism and similar bad stuff as schools go on extended shutdowm.
Cant argue with that either. So correct..
And they are so stupid they wont learn. I mean they can simply go to youtube and watch a video these days on how to do things, yet they wont.
I learned from mother.
A LOT of these photos is what I saw today.
