What the hell? No store here in Columbus has toilet paper. I'm not looking to hoard the stuff, I just need to be able to wipe my a**. Why toilet paper???? People must have the stuff packed to the rafters in their basements and garages.
Best I can figure the news about no toilet paper during the Venezuela economic meltdown must have scarred our psyche pretty bad.
It's to the point where it might be prudent for the secretary of commerce to hold a news conference and re-assure folks that there is no toilet paper shortage.
Because the media’s been running stories about runs on toilet paper, and then everyone who buys a bag on a regular basis realizes that their regular basis may be disrupted by the run, then they go out to find their normal purchase, and add one or two or three more, just to be sure.
You can partially blame it on this, Ohio likely has 100,000 coronavirus cases, top health official says

Your State gov is freaking out and causing people to freak out.
My daughter asked me to send her some.
Broken window theory economics:
The broken window theory states that a broken window adds value to the economy because a replacement must be purchased and that puts money into the economy. Under this type of theory, politicians create jobs with regulation and welfare money grows the economy.
Substitute “toilet paper shortage”.

A few people think society will collapse and hoard toilet paper. Most who are snatching it up think that society is safe, but worry that the few will get to the toilet paper before they do.
As Rush Limbaugh said recently: “Go out to the back yard and pull down some leaves.” I think, living in Florida, he meant palm leaves.
Plus we have enough food to last my wife and I about 6 years because we are looking out for our children and grandchildren.
There’s no toilet paper for sale on Amazon - society’s idiots have hoarded it and are all set on toilet paper for the next few years.
People are crapping themselves.
I don’t know what part of SC you live in, but here in the upstate, the shelves are bare everywhere. Let me know where there is some and I’ll come get it and sell it for a profit up here. :D
Keep saying that. Who so you think keeps your water and electricity running, little elves? If the utility people are sick at home, and something breaks as it always does, your power and or water are going out. We live in a society of fragile infrastructure. You assume it will always be there, automatically. Not without human toil it’s not.
On the bright side, grocery stores have plenty of corn on the cob
Democrat-led media hysteria over China flu has left America without toilet paper! Why no hysteria in 2009?
How much toilet paper do ya need for viral pneumonia?
I had a case of the super giant commercial rolls. Lasted me 2 years! It just so happens I’m down to my last roll. Im glad to hear about home depot, because the shelves are continuously empty of everything for the last several weeks. And prices have gone up too.
I’ve got lots.. Wanna buy some? $10 per roll, plus shipping.
It started here two weeks ago. Some dumbass posted a tweet that got all of Japan making a run on toilet paper and tissue. Its subsided a bit, but its wholly retarded. Theres no shortage of anything, but people and going nuts for toilet paper. Now its your turn to identify the liberal ignorant idiots. Good luck with the asswipes. ;)

________
They’re looking to make a profit. At $100/roll, they’ll clean up.
I think people have been buying large quantities of TP because they fear some kind of lockdown and/or quarantine.
I doubt this will happen. Even in China, they kept deliveries to grocery stores up. This is also occurring in Italy.
But, fyi, it has been reported that sometimes lower gi problems can occur with covid-19
Our Lowes and Home Depots are sold out too. Son in law was looking for supplies for the business he works at yesterday.
