Gotta go with Pretty Woman.

Loving Feeling is a great song but the growl Roy does along with the incessant drum and the guitar work is just too great to not vote for Pretty Woman.

Although I would rather vote “Cryin” #1, I’ll stick with Roy and vote

Is “Lonely Teardrops” from the ‘60s?

Almost. It came out in November, 1958.

Nothing against YLTLF but I will go with a rock song anyday of the week over a slow dance song. But these things are subjective. I also give more credit to artists that actually write their own songs.

Calling shenanigans.

There's no way either one of these songs or artists belong even close to the top of a list of the best songs of the sixties.

It's interesting that the two finalists are American songs from 1964, a year in which the pop music scene was dominated by the Beatles and other British invaders.

Although I don't like the song's lyrics and message, "Crying" makes good use of instrumentation and dynamics and is one of the most beautifully arranged songs of the sixties.
