My idealistic daughter announced she is supporting Bernie, in Idaho. I think maybe we will vote for him too, in Ohio. He is the Democrat Party’s worst nightmare - clearly proud of his Socialist background and making it open to all what the Democrats have really become. If Bernie is the nominee, many old time Democrats will not vote for him, and it will make the whole divide clear - Socialist or Capitalist. Best chance to not only maintain the Presidency but to also retake the House as the D’s will be in such a disarray.

I have the same problem. But I can overcome my revulsion...and I will if it helps

Why not? Assure a contested convention and watch the Dem orcs cannibalize each other.

Vote for the DEM you want to win, because your state is going to DEM in the general election.

In our state the elections are basically determined in the primaries, because there are virtually no Republicans.

I live in NY State. You can only vote in primaries of the party you are registered. If you’re registered Independent...you can’t vote in them at all.

If you’re able, help the weakest dem if you can.
I doubt it’s needed, the lot is a bunch of culls and couldn’t beat Trump if he quit last month.

Their bench is weak and ought to be in a county hospital.

Absolutely not here - with down ballot primaries, with major differences between R’s.

As a veteran of the original Operation Chaos, I say yes. I remember blaring "Sympathy For The Devil" as I pulled into the polling place parking lot. A vote for Bernie is dangerous. The hardcore Bernie supporters have already made threats ranging from sitting out the general election to urban violence. Either benefits President Trump. A vote for Sleepy Joe is my ŕeccomendation because he is unelectable and the Obama years can be easily hung around his neck.

A Warren, candidacy is dangerous because some (not many) may vote to elect the 1st woman, much as they did for Hillary.

If he is still on the ballot here in Virginia, I may vote for Butt-edge-edge just to throw as much of a monkey wrench into the Democratic works as I can. LOL

I predicted that the Democrats would screw Bernie Sanders in the run up to the 2016 primaries. Since the 2016 general election my assessment of the state of the socialists has been that if the Democrats did that again the socialists would run their own candidate in 2020 although quite possibly someone younger than Bernie.

That is still my assessment (often stated on these forums) only now I believe that the socialist candidate might beat the Democrat candidate and some of the Democrats may stay home.

If the socialists beat the Democrats then I do not believe that they will ever go back to the Democrat party.

The Democrats could embrace Bernie, and then engineer a brutal, humiliating defeat that would crush the socialists. Doing that would likely cede the house and the Senate in majorities big enough for Trump to seriously prune the bureaucracy.

They don’t have any good choices.

Go Bernie!

CHICAGO MIDWAY AIRPORT HISTORY AND AREA
HOW POLITICS AND WARD RE MAPPING DESTROYED THE COMMUNITIES WITHIN That finger of Chicago’s border on its south side extending 4 miles further beyond Cicero Avenue to Harlem, 51 st street t0 65th has a very interesting history. Post WWII during the 1950’s and 60’s the area mushroomed into dozens of single dwelling subdivions where thousands of of five and more room single 1 family units were built. After a struggle by residents the area managed to have the area remapped into one ward and only one alderman needed to respond to their needs. Today the area has four alderman who’s districts are spread miles apart and the reason is political the area was conservative. from my site http://www.theusmat.com/mdwbea.htm

I know it’s all in fun, but just the idea of asking for a Democrat ballot in a primary gives me convulsions.

Imagine the mailing lists you'll be joining.
