Fred Deutsch didn't set out to be a trailblazer. He just wanted to protect kids. But if his South Dakota bill stops children from being mutilated, then all of the nasty emails will have been worth it. At least in one state, hurting teens will have a chance at a normal life -- not the suffering so many activists are pushing them toward.
When legislators bundled up for work this morning in Pierre, some of them were on their way to make history. For the first time in America, a state was holding a hearing on whether minors under 16 should be allowed to surgically or chemically alter their sex. Rep. Deutsch (R) says he didn't really plan on authoring a bill like the Vulnerable Child Protection Act, but at some point, you just can't turn away from the suffering these "treatments" are causing.
"You know, my involvement with this was... accidental," he told me on "Washington Watch" Tuesday. "I just ran across stories of pain and suffering from young people on the internet and Twitter. And then I was led to a couple of sites on Reddit. I'd never been on there before... but it's where a lot of these children who are hurting go, and they share their stories of pain and misery. And many of them didn't understand what they were getting themselves into. So that moved me. You know, it's not hard to be compassionate when you care about kids. And it [drove] me to research if any of this was being done in South Dakota -- and I found out it was."

You can not change your sex no matter what age you are. From your scalp to the soles of your feet your sex is written in every cell of your body.
The question is "Should minors be allowed to have themselves sexually mutilated and pump themselves full of dangerous levels of hormones for no medical reason?"
The answer is no and any doctor who does this is guilty of malpractice.
The answer is the same with adults.
Although they are using the proper word "sex" rather then the newspeak of "gender" they are still conceding ground when they use phrases like "change their sex". Changing your sex is not possible for mammals. It just isn't.
Never used the left's terminology.
If you let them define the terminology you have let them define the argument.
If you let them define the arguement you will lose.
Remind me of the times in the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries when people had leisure time to quibble about this garbage-think.

Interesting factoid. This is not “new technology”. This was all previously pioneered elsewhere on the planet.
"Malpractice" is far too mild a word for the child abuse that these far-left activists engage in. Harming children is one of the most hateful acts of pure evil imaginable.
It is not possible for mammals to change their sex. That is reality. To surrender ground on the issue of something that is REAL is to lose.
Part of the way cults work is to make their new adherents say things that are not true. Eventually the brain begins to believe they are true.
It is hitting us on every side from "change your sex" to "humans cause global warming" what ever someone feels is reality even if it is not.
Word usage defines what we believe reality is.
The usage of "change their sex" means that you concede the fact that it is possible for them to do so. That is giving ground and buying in to their unreality. Now you are saying that you want to prevent people from changing their sex.
It is not a matter of preventing them, reality has already done that and is not subject to laws passed by any legislature.
People have been sexually mutilating themselves since the beginning of recorded history.
What is new is their insistence that we accept that chopping off your breasts or testicles makes you anything other then a mutilated version of what you are.
You can not make a human into a cat or a cat into a dog or a dog into a fish. You can teach the human purr, the cat to fetch and the dog to swim but you can not change what they are.
Reality. We have to stand up for it or we lose.
I was referring to my "Talk To The Hand" attitude towards people who seem to have the leisure now to deny reality.
In the centuries I mentioned, that kind of "thinking" got you dead real quick.
