Is POTUS walking into a trap in the Senate?
This statement is completely contradicted by your first one.
It's 2020, dude. Nobody is going to be "rising up" against anyone. Cyberspace is filled with keyboard warriors who couldn't even muster the outrage to turn off the NFL.
Seems like a pretty clear non commitment today and punt to next week:
After senators hear these opening arguments, the more contentious issue of witnesses will be addressed by the Senate, McConnell said.
There was no crime. It’s not a trial in the judicial sense. Impeachment a political process.
The feckless GOP has a long history of caving to the Dems and therefore snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Personally I don’t trust any of them and can’t remember a time that I ever really did.
Yes at this stage of life I am jaded about a great many things.
Well, I hope Pence already has his VP nominee picked out just in case, because Schiff already has his bogus impeachment of Pence queued up.
Assuming they don’t have something even more nefarious planned. It wouldn’t be the first time the-ends-justify-the-means leftists resorted to extreme measures to accomplish their political agenda.
Traps are, and have been, set for our President at every
step and turn.
I have not seen him walk on water yet, but he sure seems to
walk through traps pretty well.
Thank the Lord for the Mercy and the opportunity shown the
nation and the world, by sending us this man at this time,
when He could have given us Hillary instead.
Nancy was waiting for something ,I think it was Roberts.
I think there would be demonstrations...Some very large and in DC itself...It would really depend on how the left handles these demonstrations whether they turn out bloody or not...
How many times did he say the Senate is all mattered in 2018??
I think impeachment is the trap POTUS has set for coup plotters and house Dems...
Hoping the full declass drops the day the trial starts!!
But, Time will tell!
That is true, but I wouldn't put munch money on a bet that the GOP would be able to control either house nor oval office for decades.
That's exactly how Clinton's impeachment trial proceeded in 1999, which is exactly how McConnell said this trial would proceed.
Keep in mind that Nancy Pelosi claimed that she didn't hand over the impeachment articles to the Senate because she wanted a commitment from McConnell on witnesses NOW ... and he has adamantly refused to accommodate her since the start.
I don't know why you keep making this sh!t up.
U.S. Supreme Court Justice Merrick Garland agrees with you.
/sarcasm off/
I wouldn’t give a one in a thousand chance of it, and that last little slice is a hot civil war scenario where few of those Senators can manage to get back home in one piece.
No. Any other stupid questions?
Just curious, why are you ignoring the fact that GOP Senators were running to the nearest TV camera today saying “we want witnesses.”
Sadly, McConnell has not earned our trust here. Maximum pressure needs to be applied to get anything productive out of the useless GOP Senate.
Nancy was waiting for something ,I think it was Roberts.
Yep. If McConnell had good news for his voters we would have gotten it today. Only reason to punt is if it is bad news.
Doesn’t make sense. Not guilty means not guilty....means no penalty.
>I have not seen him walk on water yet, but he sure seems to

I agree completely. I was worried about it during 2017, not so much in 2018, and the last year has been a complete exoneration.
Schiff tried to transmit some more evidence to demonize Trump’s associates, but none of it will lead directly to him, which makes it pointless. Also, I have a strong feeling that if Bolton and Mulvaney are called to testify, so will Eric Ciaramella and Hunter Biden (in the name of fairness).
This will probably become such a s***show that people will tune out again, and it will quickly be resolved by acquittal.
