The Civil War Upon Us

Subtitle: Democrats Learn the Lesson of 1860.

The Lincoln and Trump elections flipped the card table of American politics. As in 1860, there was no middle ground in 2016 between the two factions. One works to preserve the United States. The other despises first American principles, publicly rejected the President-elect, and pursues disunion. This faction is called the Democrat Party.

Compromise is possible when the parties differ on how to reach a common goal. Every sale in the marketplace is a compromise. The seller is satisfied with a certain sale point just as the buyer has a buy point. Equally motivated parties eventually complete the deal. The kicker is that despite the seller typically coming down, and the buyer going up, both can walk away from the transaction feeling like winners.

While compromise wasn’t easy, it was the way of Congress from 1789 to 1860. North and South found enough common ground in the Missouri Compromise (1820), Nullification Crisis (1832), and the Compromise of 1850 to avoid secession. The unsuccessful Crittenden Compromise of December 18th 1860 proposed to permanently enshrine southern slavery in the Constitution, making it unconstitutional for future congresses to threaten the institution.

It was too little too late. Even with the addition of one slave state per free state, the Republican North was more populous and expected to indefinitely continue its advantage in the House of Representatives and Electoral College.1 With the door closed to political solutions and compromise, the Democrat South found its permanent minority status unacceptable.

Modern Democrats learned the lesson of 1860: don’t be the victim of demographics. Command demographics. In their long march to power by any means necessary, Democrats pushed, for over forty years, ever more illegal immigration to tip the congressional and electoral scales in their favor . . . forever.

...Over the span of eight decades since FDR, congressional Democrats and an increasingly Leftist Scotus slowly blocked access to common ground negotiations over pressing political matters.

The Court of Supreme Whim seized that power way back in Marbury v. Madison. Politicians are loath to change it because it achieves the results they want without the politician having to take the blame. The spark which ignited the first Democrat-Republican War, (DRWI) was the Dred Scott decision. President Buchanan secretly pushed for that decision thinking it would settle the issue.

I came up with a new reason for Article V by asking myself why Article V was not used to prevent DRWI.

The truth is both Buchanan and Lincoln wanted to use it but did not have enough time to see it done. That is why I bring this episode to the attention of the Article V fear mongers. It was the failure to use Article V before DRWI that lead to a bloody war that killed more Americans than all it's other wars combined. Failure to use it again will result in DRWII and that will be much worse than anything this nation has ever seen. They did not have chemical, nuclear and biological weapons in DRWI.

The native citizens have been slaughtering their own children by the millions for decades and the vast majority of eligible voters never bother to vote.

Aging populations tend to become more conservative and even to roll back changes they once accepted.

Democrats pay attention to demographics, and being inherently corrupt, did what cost them the least.

Republicans looked at the demographics and shrugged their shoulders, comfortable with the fact that by the time the SHTF, they'll be either so wealthy they can avoid the consequences or dead.

Elections have consequences even for those who can vote but don't and who have so little concern for the future of the nation that they don't have children.

The civil war is...

Within the Democratic Party.

Republicans just need to stay united behind Trump. We got this!

Before the 2016 election and Trump’s subsequent appointment of rational judges, Mark Levin feared that President Hillary’s new Scotus judges would snap their fingers and find a 14th Amendment right for illegals to vote.

The survival of our nation shouldn’t depend on the shifting whims of a few lawyers.

Compromise only happens when the minimum one side can accept, is within the limit of what the other side is willing to give.

"Republicans just need to stay united behind Trump. We got this!"

We do. But that's only good for five years. Then what?

Agree
Approximately 620,000 died during the Civil War

The Democrats have been leading the charge in the destruction/death of 60 million boys and girls since 1973

If you are depending on the Republicans we don’t got this. The national party and many state parties would sell us out at the drop of the first dollar or reporter screaming bigot, racist, granny killer. Reagan found out he was leading, pushing prodding, dragging a pack of timid rabbits when it came to Republicans, just like Trump is now.

This fight will come from a state level response, a Republican or independent governor who says enough and refuses to go along with socialism. The only person in Washington a response will come from is Trump, but in 2025 he leaves the scene.
