Sorry, but I think you missed the point. Schumer wanted American troops left in Syria so Hezbollah could attack and kill them. That is about the only way his two statements can be read together to make sense.

If the congress critters oppose us fighting a power that is hostile, it can only mean they have something invested in it. Maybe we should look into their stock and investment portfolios? That pallet of money to Iran still stinks of corruption from within our government. Yup its nonsense and we can’t prove it. We have a government that employs millions who can’t be trusted and are unable/afraid to speak out against their higher ups and co workers. In the mean time the politicians laugh as they make their deposits off shore. Its time to “fully” investigate those who we trust to serve us.
