Good game. Give Clemson credit for not allowing touchdowns on those 3 possessions otherwise wed be having a much different discussion right now.
Predictably, the media hypes the QBs. Clemsons defense is #1 against the pass and #8 against the run, so equal on offensive pass and run, OSU should mostly RUN. But also predictably, OSU came out passing almost all the time and came away with only 3.
Likewise, in Clemsons first series, they mostly passed even though they are is #9 in passing but #1 in the run. The OSU defense is #2 against the pass and #6 against the run. So what should Clemson mostly do? RUN of course. But, like OSUs first series, they mostly passed and came out empty.
OSU started paying attention and started running more.
At first, Clemson, was not listening. Second series on offense, Clemson mostly passes and has to punt. But then Clemson started running and has made it a close game.
The best part of this game is when OSU has the ball: OSUs #1 scoring offence vs. Clemsons #1 scoring defense.
Ohio St fans better pray that Dobbins is in for the 2nd half.
LSU awaits.
Sounds like a good game. Can’t afford to pay ESPN to see it.
This is a good angle of Sunshine running like Lamar Jackson

I want to see Clemson smack the “THE” right off of that ohidyho team.
OMG!!! Clemson 21 unanswered points to take the lead.
Clemson TD
27-23 before conversion
THE losers are the ohioans!
Whining about bad calls is just that, Whining. OSU had their opportunities. As Alabama learned last year, there may be something to Clemson’s Red Zone Defense. This was the difference in the game.
Short version: the SEC officials were either incompetent or corrupt. Maybe both. All bad calls went one way - against Ohio State.
That said, Ohio State missed a lot of opportunities. Also, Clemson played great in the 4th quarter.
Doesnt really matter though. LSU will demolish Clemson - and would have demolished Ohio State.

I thought the first half takeaway of the Dobbins catch for a touchdown was pretty bad. I am not a close rules hawk, but my layman's understanding since I was about nine years old (during the Jurassic Period) was that the ground could not cause a fumble. Dobbins had definitive possession and the ball came momentarily loose when he stretched out to plant the ball across the line as he was tackled. The ground knocked it momentarily loose enough to wobble a bit, though he retained possession.
Yes, Ohio State should have cashed in a couple of the first half chances that resulted in field goals. That would have done it. Credit Clemson's goal line defense. But the officials also took away two clear Ohio State scores.
I am a Big 10 Fan, OSU most of all.
I have written before and stand by my position that the Big 10 an Pac 12 should leave the CFP and go back to bringing their conference champions into the Rose Bowl each year. Then expand the conferences as follows:
The Pac12 should invite four teams into its conference: Texas, Houston, Baylor and Oklahoma.
The Big10 should invite in Miami, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Pittsburgh.
The two conferences would thereby lock down all but a handful of the most lucrative media markets in the US and go back to putting their emphasis on conference play and conference championships. This four-team playoff stuff has only downsides for every team in both conferences, as well as for the teams I propose inviting into the mix.
