I was watching some foolish talk show tonight about a woman who has slept with 7 men and knows one of them is her son's father, and she is scared to reveal it to one of them, because that man may be heartbroken and full of unadulterated rage.
Is this what America is coming to morally and ethically, or have America past the point? When did America pass the point?

Professional Tennis. I blame all downfall of society to a period in the 1970s when it became acceptable to wear gym clothes and tennis shoes and everyday wear. Professional Tennis had gained major steam and those branded tennis shoes replaced the leather lace ups. Exercise wear replaced slacks and shirts.
That is my story and I am sticking to it....it has all been down hill since then...

There is that old joke, a kid runs to a policeman, yelling “my fathers in a fight”. The cop breaks up the fight among several men. The cop asks, “Which of these men is your father?” The kid answers, “That’s what they were fighting about”.
Things are bad...Not THAT bad.
Actually in non talk-show reality some things are worse...
But GOD is good and He will meet this society where it’s at.

Not sure about the cause you put forward, but it was definitely sometime in the early 1970’s.

America passed that point with another wave of romanticism and feminist laws and policies a couple of generations ago. Besides some lawyers, many wealthier constituents have also applauded the changes as ways to keep labor cheap and competition from rising from neighboring families in their communities. Same with the illegal drug trades.
It started with linguists, writers, teachers, administrators and others involved in education, too.
As I keep saying, we have become a very sick society.
There will be a price to pay.
Our grandparents generation faced the same problem, they are just more open about it now.
