Joe Biden went after President Trump for being the first president in more than a century not to own any pets while in office.
The Democratic front-runner pointed out that it was “National Cat Day” on Twitter and wrote, “Some Americans celebrate #NationalCatDay, some celebrate #NationalDogDay — President Trump celebrates neither. It says a lot. It’s time we put a pet back in the White House.”

Clinton got a pet(not Lewinsky) while in office for “Publicity” reasons. it later got hit by a car.

Owning a pet is an enormous responsibility. If you travel a lot, or don’t have enough time to actually care for it and bond with it, it is irresponsible to own one.
I have no respect for people who buy animals as some kind of ‘symbol’, and then farm their care out to servants - especially when we’re talking about dogs.

This guy is certifiable. If anything far too many people own pets, and own them irresponsibly. The entire emotional pet thing has grown way out of control as well.
I love dogs and cats, but I’m home so seldom, it wouldn’t be kind to take in a pet. It’d be miserable all alone.
Thought about a horse, since family has a farm full of them, but if I only see it for an hour or so a week, in what sense is it “my” horse?
Imagine how much busier is POTUS! At least he’s not a phony about it like the previous president.
My cat, DaisyJane, is really upset that Trump does not have a pet in the White House. Is he allergic to cats? Or what?
She read about Bush2’s Miss Beasely, and thinks pet ownership indicates a good person.
Is DJT allergic to cats? Our shelter is full of darling little dogs that would love to live in the White House. Plenty of people there would walk it, pet it, feed it....

Some people know when their lives are too complicated to have a pet. I think that’s where the Trump’s are, and I respect them for that. Between my husband and I over the last 40 years we’ve had to give 3 dogs to new homes...heartwrenching, but appropriate due to circumstances.

Ive always loved dogs, but its so hard when they get sick..I guess its just like with a human, fine one day, sick the next and the nightmare begins..its hard, losing 2 fur babies in the past 2 yrs..our Nemo died 2 yrs ago(He was almost 16) and just lost Maxie 2 weeks ago, cutaneous lymphoma, a rare skin lymphoma, never saw it coming..healthiest dog never was sick and bam he gets this, it breaks my heart, everyday
All politicians are corrupt to some degree. Biden more than most. Using his influence to line his own and his son, Hunter's, pockets with dirty money.
All politicians make gaffes in public and some stick their entire foot in their mouths on occasion. Biden's reputation is as a serial gaffer. He is the king of this fault.
Many politicians are caught lying and being dishonest from time to time. Biden is a serial plagiarizer of other people's words and speeches. He's been caught several times blatantly doing it, including failing a law school course and dropping out of his 1988 presidential bid because he got caught plagiarizing.
But Biden's most egregious and disgusting public behavior as a politician has been to grope and sexually harass females, especially young girls, on many, many documented occasions.
And yet this man gets a pass from his own party and the partisan media. Where are the feminists and the #MeToo folks to call him out on this deviant behavior? Other politicians have had to resign in shame for doing less. He is blatant about it.
How Biden remains the front runner in the democRATic race for president in 2020 is a sad commentary on our culture, the DNC, the Swamp, the Deep State and the biased media in our country.
In years past, any simple vetting of his faults and and deviant behavior would have disqualified him from running for public office. He is a scumbag. And so are those who overlook his faults to support him.
And all he can complain about his potential opponent in this election campaign is that Trump doesn't own a pet? Pleeeease, spare me.
