Dear Mr. Zuckerberg. Your company made big headlines when it announced it would be launching a cryptocurrency called the Libra in 2020. Not surprisingly, given the nature of the times, the project has been greeted with intense criticism and skepticism. Dont lose heart. In one sense, the idea of a company creating its own kind of money is an old one. The airlines frequent-flier miles are really a form of money that customers can earn and use to buy trips and various other things. Credit card companies, hotels and numerous retailers have all sorts of loyalty programs in which people earn points that will let them buy all manner of goodies.
BUT IF YOU PLAY YOUR CARDS RIGHT WITH THE LIBRA, YOU COULD BE TO MONEY AND FINANCE WHAT HENRY FORD WAS TO AUTOMOBILES. YOUR NEW CURRENCY COULD TAKE ITS PLACE ALONGSIDE THE INVENTIONS OF COINS AND PAPER MONEY MANY CENTURIES AGO. IT COULD REPLACE THE U.S. DOLLAR AS THE GLOBAL CURRENCY.
In one crucial area youre already light years ahead of virtually all other cryptocurrencies: You realize the fundamental importance of a currency thats stable in value. Money measures value the way a scale measures weight or a clock measures time. Most cryptoswhose values fluctuate violently from one moment to the nextare great as speculative vehicles, but theyre useless as real money. No one in his right mind would write a contract longer than 24 hours in bitcoin. With cryptocurrencies, its steak one day and dog food the next. But if you can invent a truly stable cryptocurrency that can actually be used for day-to-day transactions and for longer-term contracts and investment vehicles, youll be a winner.

“A more fitting name would be the zuck.”
I will see your zuck and raise you two zuckers.
And what makes you thing that crypto currency and crypto banks can’t be manipulated, or hacked. If anything it’s easier. Soros could be stopped by freezing all his assets and storm trooping his house. We allow this idiot to do these things. Declare him an enemy of the state and send a drone over, the end of misery.
As a Christian, my first thought was of the biblical “MARK” of the beast.
Hmmmm
eBay and PayPal are separate companies.
eBay owned PayPal at one time but that was years ago.
There needs to be a catalyst, however, to kick the Mark into high gear.
A global economic crisis, real or manufactured, is what it will take (my opinion). Using past performance to assess future outcomes, a global economic crisis can take place within a matter of days, or even hours.
An economic “event” cannot be avoided, IMHO.
It was big enough under W Boosh to make it happen and it hit the globe (trade ships had to be parked in the Indian Ocean for there was nowhere to go).
The next one will be even bigger, I do believe. Because the numbers only deepened. When? Dunno. I was telling people around me in 2005-2006. Even 2007 and by early Summer 2008 (I recall one specific warning). Well, September 2008 turned out much worse than I imagined and I was the guy telling other people (in real life).
Global currency is no doubt the “in thing” with those who think the world can be one big happy family. Under one world gov’t. I cannot believe nations with leaders trying to shed their sovereign status (someone basically like Barack at he helm). That’s why there’s such a war against President Trump. /Captain Obvious
We’re on the road to the Weimar Republic. Financially, at least. So are a lot of countries.
What will bring “peace” that will be “confirmed”? Well, it’s gonna be something. Gonna miss the good old days of cash. I miss the days of $1,000 bills and $500 bills (yes I had some in my wallet in the 1990’s).
