Democrats are running exploratory committees that are set up so as to curtail President Trump, the White House, and others their due process rights so that Democrats can gather information and engage in whatever actions or endeavors they desire while intentionally denying the same to Trump. The question remains: is this illegal or immoral and unethical?
Republicans like Lindsey Graham, Cruz, etc, need to get on TV 24/7 and explain to Americans that this is at the very least immoral and unethical behavior on the part of Democrats, they aren't going to going along with it, and the Senate will vote to take no action if Dems in the House continue doing what they are doing.
If Dems who control the House counter that Trump in their opinion is unethical or immoral then they are a sham of a law-making body and we might as well bulldoze Washington D.C. if that is how they will behave or if it is their only way to defeat Trump.
And if Republicans refuse to act at all then we might as well bulldoze D.C. as there is certainly no reason to even show up to vote for Graham or any other Republican in the House or Senate in 2020 and primarily if this is what politics has devolved to.
Is there ANY WAY to get this into the courts so it can get to the SCOTUS, where I know everything is still iffy but we have a chance?
This is INSANITY!!
MEANWHILE, dems get to “leak” to the msm what they pick and choose and try to kill Trump by 1000 cuts.
Not saying it will succeed, saying it shouldn’t be HAPPENING!!
It’s either this or the Senate can subpoena staffers to Schiff and others to get to the bottom of this because Graham and others in the Senate should have already set up the framework and committees to do what Dems in the House are doing.
A suit based upon due process rights should be able to go to SCOTUS.
While SCOTUS could not render a verdict taking control of the rights to impeachment away from the House, they could rule if they violated due process rights and it should be within their rights as the courts can wade into areas of due process.
Whatever powers not given to Congress, the Executive, the state’s or the people would be reserved to the courts. And the power to wade into matters of due process should fall under their purview.
Democraps are doing anything they want because the RINO party does nothing. For example WHY are they allowed to look at his tax returns? Is the IRS saying he fudged his taxes? How about they take a look at Hillarys who made $6 BILLION in Haitian aid money disappear?
I’ve had enough.
No sense ever voting for them again if they just do nothing. This is it.
We’ve never had a president like Trump and who knows what we could have over the next five years.
But not if he’s tossed out of office.
No sense voting for them if they do nothing because all we will get is decades more of the same nothing burgers we have always received from RINOs.
Nothing in the Constitution says he has to turn them over.
Dems come up with Russian collusion and they are still trying to dig through his tax returns based upon an allegation that Mueller said there was NO evidence for.
Encouraged by weak Republicans. The problem lies at their feet. Senate Republicans need to condemn the process and denounce any findings as unreliable and unimpeachable due to the lack of scrutiny and legal process. In other words a big F U! It’s the weak Republicans that the Dems are trying to get to.
Unless the SC TOO is named in Epstein's lil black book.
Father, we unite in prayer for the life and safety of President Trump, his family and every good and patriotic politician in agreement with bringing our nation back to a sense of Godliness, in Jesus' name, Amen.
Amen.
GOP are a bunch of gutless cowards in the Fake Congress. Having Graham, Cruz or any of the cowards would be counterproductive. They might “accidentally “ drop a line that would harm the President.
Bulldozing Versailles on the Potomac might be the only way left. We elected a President that has been under fire more so than any President in our history, including Lincoln. He only had to fight a war. President Trump is fighting Congress, the courts, foreign governments and traitors.
“We elected a President that has been under fire more so than any President in our history...”
Even more so than George W. Bush.
But of course.
It’s shitty politics. Congressmen can stage any drama they want just like you or me.
You can set up your own unenforceable Obama impeachment hearing if you like.
It just won’t get any press.
Republicans refusing to go along and taking a vote saying as much because this is more than mere drama - it is at the very least highly unethical - would be noticed.
Then pound home to Americans how would they like being hamstrung by a District attorney or prosecutor, your lawyer was hamstrung, and so on.
America needs a fighter to lead not a Bush, Ryan,McCain, Obama or Romney.
Of course, their path is being smoothed by House and Senate Republicans, who could be much more active in opposition, but most of them probably wish Trump would be removed before THEIR corruption gets exposed.
Impeachment is a sole power of the House of Representatives, it is not a trial, the Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Amendments don't apply.
The correct response is to demand a floor vote ASAP, not on the procedure, but on the underlying question.
As I posted here a few days ago, this process follows the Watergate playbook in every detail. The Democrats want to remove a President without the popular support to do so, so they have to create the support.
It's not 1973 any more, they can't use Walter Cronkite to tell the people what to think. But just like Watergate, there's a script, disclosures (leaks) are timed for a specific goal or purpose, and the plan is to build and build the case through gaslighting and leaks until people accept the POSSIBILITY of removal, followed by a "big reveal" at the end to bring "reluctant" GOP Senators on board.
It's completely obvious - and very dangerous.
It's a wonder Trump keeps going, with so much stacked against him.
