The greatest carpetbagging atrocity since the Bush clan moved to Texas has occurred at Whataburger. The patties are thinner,the buns are smaller and overall they taste like schiff. If you replaced their fancy new wrapper with Micky D's you couldn't tell the difference except maybe they're worse. Boycott 'em and drive them into bankruptcy for the good of the state and it's citizens.
And they use Salsa from New York City...

Call me weird, but I’ve never liked them anyway. And their drive throughs are so slow.
That is too bad. Their apple pies are the closest approximation of what McDonald’s pies USED to be like before they got sued for the hot apple pie being hot.
I still miss George and John’s burgers in Farmington NM way back in 1977! BLAKE’S Lottaburger is about as good.
Whataburger was good! Tried a local outlet and the burger was good! Fries and onion rings, not so much.
I wouldn’t know if the quality has dropped. Here it was getting so hit and miss I quit going last year. In fact I stay away from national chains wherever possible. Local greasy spoon burger basket, hot fries, squirt ketchup and a real salt shaker is the 5 star of choice.
Sadly, Whataburger was always my go to burger joint from when I lived in Texas. Recently, I noticed something had changed, ah yes, the burgers were tasteless. So, after trying burgers from a different location, I came to conclusion something was afoot. Did not know of the buyout. Get a rope.
Doesn’t Whataburger offer a number of different burgers?

Why eat at restaurants chains anyway?
There must be half a dozen rating sites and apps, full of customer reviews and pictures of restaurants.
I always preferred mom and pop places before, and now I can filter out the bad ones without having to go there once.
My Lotta burger near work is still go made fresh and hot. My only problem is it’s so run down.
They staff looks like a bunch of burned out bikers on work release.
It’s still one of the best in town.
Chain restaurants are just like cable. Give it up.
Remember ‘Nut’n Honey’ cereal?
Mine was just remodeled about two weeks ago.
Now the inside looks like some cheap ass fast food joint, and the double cheeseburger I got was disgusting.
The bun was all mashed onto two slabs of something glued together by cheese.
I ate about 4 bites of this before throwing it away.
I had to brush my teeth about 4 times to get this taste out of my mouth.
No more whataburger.

Texas WB’s were better.
I lived off one in Aransas Pass o e summer.
