All the main characters of the "Bewitched" TV series is dead (except Tabitha)

Posted on 09/03/2019 7:01:36 PM PDT by SamAdams76

Aunt Clara had a good run though. She was BORN in 1883! That was when Chester Arthur was our president and nobody had electricity in their homes yet. In 1883, no homes yet had telephones, radios or even flush toilets.

Yet Marion McDougall was born that year and would go on to co-star in an iconic "modern" television series as Aunt Clara.

Now that's just mind-blowing.

It's a shame about Elizabeth Montgomery however. Growing up as a boy, I fantasized about having somebody like her as a wife (without the evil mother-in-law) but she died so young.

Both Darrin's are dead (both of them Dicks)

Pretty much everybody on that cast is dead. Except for Tabitha. Who I didn't remember all that much.

Chester A. Arthur was also the only President there was any question about his eligibility until the Kenyan from Indonesia.

Same here. My wife will go see pretty much anybody I get tickets for but then she'll insist on me going to see some of her favorites. Neil Diamond, for example, who we saw four times, the last time at MSG on his last tour. That wasn't very painful either, Neil put on a good show. Now he'll never perform again due to medical reasons.

The one concert she dragged me to that I really hated was Huey Lewis & The News. Maybe it was a bad night but those guys were awful. Just going through the motions.

Years ago, there was a meme on Free Republic that went "All your base is belong to us"

I guess I was just channeling that.

Both Darrins were as queer as a three dollar bill too.

I know of no reports of Dick York having such problems. MOst of the homosexuals from that era had short marriages and few children, if any. York was married for 40+ years and had five children. Not being a tough guy on screen doesn't make you a homo.

One of the best TZ episodes of all time. Phenomenal acting— the real deal. The dialogue is minimal; she never speaks a word. Yet communication between the two is powerfully, and quite convincingly, clear. For those who may not have seen this one, it is worth both the time and money to be reminded of what used to be offered —for free— on television. (And now we pay to watch commercials!)

Elizabeth said that the witchcraft theme was based on homosexuality, and was done very tongue in cheek in the series.

I also was wondering ‘Okay...What brought all this up right now?”
But, I’m glad he did. It’s like sitting around the campfire, sharing memories with those who experienced the same things at that time.

I set a timer on my phone for 30 minutes every night. I then go to youtube and select a Hogan’s Heroes episode to watch as I fall asleep. I do this each and every night. I have serious issues.

LOL, you and me both, I put on old WWII radio broadcasts to fall asleep. I especially love playing the all-day D-Day coverage.

She also was great in the hard to find (if not impossible) TV movie about Lizzie Borden.

I met Barbara Eden on the set of “ The Amazing Dobermans” back in 76. She was a very polite lady. I had a job driving theater owners to movie shoots on location. It was fun.

Dick York the first Darren was uptight all the time. Perfect.Larry Tate was the ultimate kiss ass. Very funny. The show ran in Japan in the 80’s. I’m sure they loved it.
