I hope the Socialist brats will eventually remember that, without capitalism, they will be living in grinding poverty at the mercy of a dictator
As more high school and college students are indoctrinated by their teachers and professors into accepting socialism as the only solution to their future, the country seems to fall deeper into anomie. Anomie is the social instability resulting from a breakdown of standards and values.
They are so lacking in knowledge of their own countrys history that they believe what the Marxist professors and the MSM have been repeating ad nauseam, that we are a democracy when we are a constitutional republic. Lies, when repeated enough times, become reality.
“Reality is Negotiable” - (bumper sticker on DC car in the ‘80’s)
Sorry, Doc, but your indignation is misplaced.
You seem to fault ‘the socialist brats’. Well, how did they become that way? You can’t blame them for what they are being taught by professors and teachers and preachers and parents.
How many ‘cure all’ educational programs have politicians instituted in the last half-century? Most of those programs cost $billions and ended in abject failure. You can’t blame that on ‘the socialist brats’.
They are ‘socialist brats’ because that is what they have been taught and it started at an early age.
TIME TO BRING THIS UP
During the period after the civil war known as reconstruction black legislators who were Republican were elected in the south To stop this democrats came up with segregation poll taxes and Jim Crow laws and the KKK
I wonder if any of these academians remember after the revolution eats its parents it then eats preachers, teachers and especially professors?
I know what you’re saying but then by that standard we can’t blame rapists and killers who were brought up with no dad and a crack addict mother.
Slippery slope.
Especially when finding out the truth is a click away and not even a visit to the library
Democracy is two foxes and a chicken voting on what to have for lunch.
Much of our nations water supply has been dosed, IMO.
Little Hitler and Stalin wannabes. Ask them what job they will have in their “socialist paradise.” Street sweeper? Dishwasher? Truck driver? No. They see themselves as the ones giving the orders to others.
Like Hitler, Marx and Bernie, they have an aversion to working for a living, and like Cousin Eddie, holding out for a “Management Position.”
They want to be "Strelnikov", but they forget what happened to Strelnikov at the end of Dr. Zhivago
'Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide.'- Abraham Lincoln, "Lyceum" Speech
Lincoln then warned that a tyrant could overtake the American political system from within. He said:
'It is to deny what the history of the world tells us is true, to suppose that men of ambition and talents will not continue to spring up amongst us. And when they do, they will as naturally seek the gratification of their ruling passion as others have done before them. The question then is, Can that gratification be found in supporting and maintaining an edifice that has been erected by others? Most certainly it cannot. Many great and good men, sufficiently qualified for any task they should undertake, may ever be found whose ambition would aspire to nothing beyond a seat in Congress, a gubernatorial or a presidential chair; but such belong not to the family of the lion or the tribe of the eagle. What! think you these places would satisfy an Alexander, a Caesar, or a Napoleon? Never! Towering genius disdains a beaten path. It seeks regions hitherto unexplored. It sees no distinction in adding story to story upon the monuments of fame erected to the memory of others. It denies that it is glory enough to serve under any chief. It scorns to tread in the footsteps of any predecessor, however illustrious. It thirsts and burns for distinction; and if possible, it will have it, whether at the expense of emancipating slaves or enslaving freemen. Is it unreasonable, then, to expect that some man possessed of the loftiest genius, coupled with ambition sufficient to push it to its utmost stretch, will at some time spring up among us? And when such an one does, it will require the people to be united with each other, attached to the government and laws, and generally intelligent, to successfully frustrate his designs. Distinction will be his paramount object, and although he would as willingly, perhaps more so, acquire it by doing good as harm, yet, that opportunity being past, and nothing left to be done in the way of building up, he would set boldly to the task of pulling down.'- Abraham Lincoln, "Lyceum" Speech
Yes, Lincoln recognized very well the most destructive forces in the world - ego and narcissism. A little bit of ego, peppered with significant amounts of understanding and compassion for others (e.g. Trump) can be very positive in the world. When it’s all about ‘you’ (e.g. Hillary) it is extremely destructive.
It is highly likely that few or none of the brightest, most creative, and most talented people who live or lived in the world have ever held political power. It is usually those with limited talents, but who are driven by a defect in personality that makes them narcissists, who attain political power. Our founders absolutely recognized this, and the Constitution and the US form of government set up by them is rife with safeguards to prevent these people from attaining an abusing power. The pathetic and marginally talented egoists amongst us (e.g. Elizabeth Warren) are trying to circumvent those safeguards.
The founding ideas represent the very ideas of liberty, and the Liberal/Progressive ideas being promoted since the late 1800's are a perversion and destructive force against those ideas which underlie our Declaration of Independence and Constitution of the United States of America.
The collection of ideas at this site amplify and explain for today's citizens those which brought into being the Constitution of 1787. Believe you will agree. Please feel free to share link!
