A lot of those graphs seem to end in 2012 and 2014. Many of them show negative trends before Obama took office. I know the Obama “economy” sucked, but these charts aren’t impressive in showing it.

Is it too much to ask that someone who wants to give you something "in a single glance" put all the charts on one timeline and highlight the Obama years? So you get the idea in like, a single glance?

And if "Next time you hear a liberal friend claim that Trump has done nothing for the economy or the American worker" you "send them this link and show them the single image above" they will probably reply:

"I looked at your single image. Every chart has a different timescale but as far as I can see without my magnifying glass not even one of them goes past 2015. So like explain the part about Trump again."

My glance took in the stupid ‘cash for clunkers’ fiasco.

Sure, let’s destroy a few million reasonably good cars so my BiG Auto exec buddies can sell more new cars to people who can’t afford them. (and get those bigger bonus checks)

How many mom & pop shadetree mechanic shops did that put in dire straits for having no cars to repair/maintain?
And how many poorer drivers had their affordable (<$2,500) vehicles taken out from under them?

I'm hardly a fan of Obama, but some of these charts are deceptive insofar as someone cherry-picked the end and start dates. For example, real median family income bottomed out in 2012 then rebounded and surpassed the 2007 peak by 2015. They also didn't plot the long dollar-based time series in log-space to normalize for growth; if you do that then the growth in federal debt wasn't that draconian under Zero, and the spike in debt/GDP is more properly seen as emanating from a GDP deficiency.

I believe many of the other charts are ok and present a good, balanced picture. But I expect stupid economic games from the left, not the right...someone needs to go back to Econ 101.

These charts are approaching urban legend status. When zooming in on the image only the chart titles are readable.

The source of these charts is the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis Economic Research division.

Obama has a real skill for political black magic. No one President let problems get worse, found ways to make things worse in ways no one had considered before, and get away with it quite like he did.

The hockey stick graphs are impressive. Too bad we can’t read the axes of the charts to be able to see what’s being measured and in what time periods.

I notice this was an on-line survey as well.

I’d like to believe this story is true, but I am skeptical that the charts were created to fit the narrative.
