Inside information into the years-long child abuse saga involving Louisville Metropolitan Police Department (LMPD) officers is now being revealed. The city commissioned former U.S. Attorney Kerry Harvey to investigate the LMPD Explorers program for children to determine if sexual misconduct, abuse, and even rape were widespread with police officers involved in the program.
Hardly an isolated incident, in total, a series of seven lawsuits names more than eight current or former LMPD officers.
In a disturbing description to FOX News this week, one of the victims went into graphic detail on how he was abused and raped by people he looked up to.
C.F., WHO USES A PSEUDONYM TO PROTECT HIS IDENTITY IN A CIVIL LAWSUIT, SAID THAT WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN ABOUT LAW ENFORCEMENT BECAME A NIGHTMARE OF EXPLOITATION AND SEXUAL ABUSE.

If only policemen were allowed to marry. (FWIW—the RCMP used to require men to remain single for the first several years they were employed).
Pedophiles should be exterminated, regardless of their positions.
(Not saying Carrol O'Connor ever was, but it's the only stock graphic I have on hand with a cop and a kid)
First of all, I haven’t even read about this at all. But, in this current climate of police killings and hatred, isn’t it possible this is a “get back at the cops for their blue coats” attack?
I think so.
Benton Fraser kept the tradition.
I had no idea that the RCMP had such a policy.
I have no idea when the policy went, or even where I came by that knowledge. One possible source is a friend whose father was retired RCMP—but she is in her early 70’s.
That was a very good series. I was extremely disappointed when they pulled it from Netflix about two months after my wife subscribed.
Any program for kids will attract pedophiles; parents need to be especially cautious and have their kids informed to watch for danger signs.
We have the DVDS around as well as the soundtracks.
I didn’t learn to appreciate Due South until cable reruns much later.

It's a variation on the theme of Sutton's Law. When Willie Sutton, the most notorious bank robber of the 20th century, was asked why he robbed banks he replied 'That's where the money is!'
My parents bought a TV when I was in my last year of high school. When I used to visit them in my 20’s, Due South and Early Edition were running consecutively. Walker, Texas Ranger, may also have factored in.
I doubt that they make much of that quality anymore, and I’m not wasting my time finding out.
If the cops were muslims the media would protect them calling it cultural diversity.
Merciful Maude, higgmeister-!
At the least, as a poster with such a question, you really, really should have read the article.
This abuse took place over several years, with parents making complaints OVER SEVERAL YEARs.
So, no, this particular case has an almost ZERO possibility of it being made up just to malign police.
On the other hand, at least you admitted not reading the article before you asked the question..... LOL
A disease. Most often not curable.
Good work, Sir!
Who polices the police?
Just look at what the fellow ‘blue line’ cops tried to do to save muslim, somali, christian woman killer Noor up in Minnisota. They immediately did everything they could to protect Noor regardless of whether or not he just murdered a white woman.
