Sorry, President Trump. Here’s why American Jews aren’t abandoning the Democratic Party.
The Washington Post ^ | March 22, 2019 | Michael Tesler

Posted on 03/22/2019 3:03:26 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

President Trump has recently encouraged Jewish Americans to eschew their long-standing affiliation with the Democratic Party — a movement he and others refer to as “Jexodus.” He tweeted out claims that Jews are now leaving the Democrats over the party’s position on Israel.

“Jewish people are leaving the Democratic Party. We saw a lot of anti Israel policies start under the Obama Administration, and it got worsts & worse. There is anti-Semitism in the Democratic Party. They don’t care about Israel or the Jewish people.” Elizabeth Pipko, Jexodus. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 12, 2019 The president then cited his administration’s pro-Israeli policies of withdrawing from the Iran nuclear accords and moving the U.S. Embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as reasons Jewish Americans should switch to the Republican Party.

The ‘Jexodus’ movement encourages Jewish people to leave the Democrat Party. Total disrespect! Republicans are waiting with open arms. Remember Jerusalem (U.S. Embassy) and the horrible Iran Nuclear Deal! @OANN @foxandfriends — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 15, 2019 Yet as several commentators noted, there is no evidence whatsoever that there’s a Jexodus underway. Three factors, in particular, make it highly unlikely that such a mass shift will occur any time soon.

Here’s the background

American Jews have consistently identified with the Democratic Party over the Republican Party by a 2-to-1 margin in Pew Research Center Surveys conducted from 1994 to 2018.

Maybe, but maybe not. Doesn’t matter.

Germany’s National Socialist Party was always (under Hitler) virulently antisemitic and had no German Jewish support to speak of.

Soros is the opposite of a nationalist, and while a vile self-loathing Jew, he does in the context of hating anything but a New World order.

To be exactly correct: Soros is an “Espirantist” by his open admission -— a political movement named after the fake language to rid the world of all religion, national identity, and borders.

I believe that the political motivation of Jewish voters in America is complex, because Jewish voters as a group are not monolithic in outlook. There are observant Jews vs cultural Jews, Zionists vs non Zionists, and so forth. But there has to be an underlying reason why Jews in America generally switched from mostly Republican to mostly Democratic around WWI, when Jews supported Wilson.

If Wikipedia is to believed, the influx of Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe accounted for this transition. They embraced socialism more than earlier Jews in the United States who had origins in countries other than Russia and Poland. Why would this be so? Could it be the history of Czarist oppression in Eastern Europe?

I believe a big antipathy toward the Republican Party among Jews is the belief that the right means religious bigotry. Many Jewish leftists have a BIG problem with Christianity, particularly Protestantism. They equate the GOP with religious conservatives, and although the KKK was mostly a manifestation of Southern Democrats, the left has tagged white supremacists as the same as Republicans. In their minds, Southern Baptist preachers are still donning white sheets in the shadows like it’s still 1955.

Am I right, or off base here?

Yeah, reminds me of home.

I grew up in Gush Katif, went to Yeshiva, modern Orthodox, and have a mixed opinion of professional Torah studies (on my dime, anyway).

Some are legit; somewhere between a low majority and a plurality are shnorrers that pretend and have a side gig going on as their real job.

Anyway, Yeshiva World News (aka “YWN” — clever) is OK. Fair number of Satmars who I’d probably punch in the face given the opportunity, but highly educational.

Not only that, but the goal of a majority of Jews prior to WWII was to achieve the highest in German society, which they accomplished. In science, medicine, art, music, etc. Building and promoting their religion was not on their agenda at all. In fact, they mostly had forsaken it.

Read that written by a former NY intellectual Jewish atheist/communist. Art Katz.

I’ve posted this (in various iterations — I plagiarized it off someone else’s work, but I’ve modified it so many times I can’t recall what part is mine).

It should provide a comprehensive answer to the question “Why do American Jews vote Democrat?”

1. The question is, itself curious, and strange thing to focus upon. Jewish people make up 1.7% of the electorate, so if every Jewish person in the USA voted Republican, every Presidential election since Reagan would have been the same. Bush v. Gore would have been a non-issue, but that’s about it. Maybe some local Florida races. So it is a very odd thing to focus on, and the focus is a little creepy to us Jewish people and somewhat, itself, a turn-off to Jewish voters.

2. Most Jewish people in the USA are NE urban voters and over educated. They vote pretty much just like every other NE urban over educated group. So the issue is slightly overblown. I don’t see a lot of questions about Episcopalians. This again relates to #1, in that the focus is a little weird.

3. Many second-wave Jewish people came from Europe/Russia (post WWI) when the two political choices were Communist (who promised equal treatment to all — a lie, yes, but a seductive lie) and various kind of Nationalist (who promised to kill the Jews and meant it). So there is an irrational ethnic fondness for the lies of commies. Bernie Sanders falls into this camp. Note third-wave Jewish people (e.g., from the Soviet Union are majority Republicans — probably because they know the lie. (Most of the third-wave went to Israel — where they make up a solid conservative voting block — great for Israel, sucks for the USA.)

4. The Republican Party used to be the white shoe law firms, Lutherans, and country clubs. They didn´t like Jews much. (This the the running joke that was CaddyShack -— the Rodney Dangerfield character being what this crowd thinks about Jewish people.) Think James Baker “F—k the Jews, they don´t vote for us anyway.” There are echos of this idea any time these threads come up.

5. Going back to #3 a bit, Nationalism has historically been bad for Jews. Even now, we´re called “not really white” or “dual loyalty”. So Nationalism is logically viewed with skepticism. This is why the Democrats play up the occasional loon who shows up carrying a Tiki torch. They do legit stir a bit of fear in our hearts.

6. Yeah, we do identify with victims of discrimination. Something like 1/4 Jewish people in the USA experience a serious incident of irrational violence or discrimination based on being Jewish — far higher than any other group. (i have myself — although its almost always been at the hands of blacks or Muslims — one bitch white lady in Brandon, MS sticks out, but that’s it for me in real life.) Thus, we are often suckers for do-gooder programs.

7. And finally, there is evangelical Christianity, which I consider some of the finest, most earnest, people in the world.

And, no, contrary to what your extremely stupid post said, I am not afraid of evangelicals’ conversion attempts. Nor are any Jewish people I know about. Annoyed, bored, maybe.

What there is going on are lies promulgated by Democrat groups that the only reason Christians like Israel is to somehow force the End of the World as We Know It by . . . something. For example, here:

https://www.dailywire.com/news/44400/cenk-uygur-makes-outrageous-statement-about-anti-hank-berrien

A fair number of Democrat Jews will believe this lie due to preconceived notions of Protestants. “Of Jews and Their Lies” by Martin Luther is required reading.

Finally, there is hope. We Orthodox are growing much faster than the Reform. We have children; they have dogs.

We Orthodox vote Republican, more so than Southern Baptists.

If you don’t believe me, go read:

http://www.theyeshivaworld.com

In particular, go to the forum (aka “Coffee Room”) and read the political posts. (Most of this is obscure discussions completely boring to Gentiles, so skip over that stuff. The political ones are obvious.)

I’m not a MOT, just a formerly intermarried guy who read Torah cover to cover, practiced daily, and always went to the most orthodox shul available (Lubavitch at the end of my marriage.) Kind of an odd duck; a true believer who didn’t convert.

My niece is a proper “Jew” who denied G-d’s existence in her Bat Mitzvah speech, to polite applause at the reformed synagogue in L.A. And that’s the level of belief of most Jews I’ve met. Atheist socialists who are culturally “Jewish”.

During the Bush administration, a synagogue in Seattle literally replaced “Haman” with “Bush” throughout the reading of the megillah. I kid you not.

Most of the Jews I know left the Democrat Party years ago (if they were ever in it at all).

Not a random sample of course.

Dummocrap Jews are overwhelmingly NOT religious Jews. They were born with that hardwired "do good" Jewish trait, but were never educated in their religion, which instructs how the "do good" urge is to be channeled. Thus, they took various liberal causes to their breast, as they allowed them to take out those "do good" feelings on them. Save the whales, doctors without borders, Sierra Club, etc. became their religion analog.

They were raised to think that these secular causes were to be cherished as much as a religion. So it's no surprise that they have voted for candidates purporting to support such causes, and why it's hard for them to change.

Most secular Jews were also not raised to revere Israel as holy to their people--to them, it's just a country. So people attacking Israel verbally do not trigger outrage in many of them as they would to a more religious Jew. So the new dummocrap anti-Israel stance does not draw the same outrage as it would to be more religious Jew either. Again, so they just continue to vote for their libtard candidates as usual. It is refreshing to me to see that SOME lib Jews HAVE finally reached a point where the antisemitic views spewed forth by a lot of the libtard candidates have apparently reached a point of critical mass and they are finally disgusted and ready to withdraw their lifelong support of the dummocraps.

Bingo..right on the money. The Muslim Mufti of Iraq &
Adolf Hitler were great friends, allies and Jew Haters in the 1920s & 1930s. Folks, History is repeating itself and American Jews are too dumb to see the tragedy that is coming, just like they did prior to WWII. Foolish people. the handwriting of the hate of Jews & Israel by the Democrat Party & their “Muslim” Congress critters is as clear as one can see. Add to that the bevy of Democrat POTUS, Candidates that are avoiding AIPAC and all you can utter is.....”SAD”!!!

The original KKK was active in the South during the Reconstruction period, when there were very few Jews in the South. The revived KKK of the 1920s was active also outside the South and targeted other groups including immigrants and Catholics as well as blacks. More recently the Left has tried to tar any white Christian who doesn't subscribe to their ideology as a KKK sympathizer of some kind.

I had three professors in graduate school who were Jews born in Europe before WWII. One was born in Berlin in 1910--I never heard the story of how he got out but he may have been already recognized as a brilliant scholar in the 1930s and therefore able to get to England or another safe country. Another one was a child during the war in France (I think) and was hidden by nuns--he had to learn Catholic prayers to be passed off as a Catholic.

A third was born in Vienna in 1935 (and is still going strong at 83)--his father had been imprisoned by the Nazis as a leftist but somehow was released and the family crossed the Atlantic in the last passenger ship before WWII began. They were able to come to the US because relatives sponsored them. He is very left-wing but I never was aware of that when I was his student.

While in graduate school I had a Jewish roommate, totally non-observant, now married to a non-practicing Catholic. I don't recall ever discussing politics with him when we were students (only that he was violently anti-Red Sox--he was from Queens). He's very left-wing now--several years ago he was delighted when his daughter attended some event where Jesse Jackson was speaking and Jesse had looked right at her. His leftism may have little to do with being Jewish as he never seemed to make a big deal about that.

” matter of fact many Jews embraced him and the Nazi party. “

shut up with your BS.

“many”? they had a circulation of only 6000 for their newsletter. Five thousand were non Jews.

“The goal of the Association was the total assimilation of Jews into the German Volksgemeinschaft, self eradication of Jewish identity, and the expulsion from Germany of the Jewish immigrants from Eastern Europe.[3] Naumann was especially opposed to Zionists and Eastern European Jews, the former he considered a threat to Jewish integration and to be carriers of a “racist” ideology serving British imperial purposes, while he saw the latter as racially and spiritually inferior.[3]”

I believe you but then why are the European and American Jews joining with the same ideology that brought forth Adolph Hitler and his socialist party. Again and again they continue to support the ‘coming soon to neighborhood near you’ concentration camps.

Germany did it, Russian did it, China did/doing it, Kumar Rouge did it. All had the same basic philosophy.

Why not support and vote for freedom of the individual?????
