The hometown of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg hasn't forgotten her birthday. Brooklyn, N.Y., plans a celebration called #RallyforRuth on Friday, as Ginsburg turns 86 years old.
Eric Adams, president of the New York City borough, will host the party for Ginsburg, who was born Joan Ruth Bader in Brooklyn on March 15, 1933. It was unclear if the justice, known by her initials, "RBG," will attend.
Still, the festivities are set to begin at 8 a.m. at the Brooklyn Municipal Building and will include a call for the city to rename the building in her honor, Patch.com reported. An online petition has garnered more than 60,000 signatures, the report said.

She’s dead, Jim.
I’m curious if there will be any videos of the Justice attending her own celebration. The media was able to get videos of Rodger Stone getting arrested 5 a.m., but I bet nobody will get a video of a Justice attending her 86th birthday.
Is this a memorial service?

Well played. Perfect juxtaposition of a biased media/system
They plan a celebration?
How about a memorial service. That would be OK.
Why are leftists so enamored with Ruth Bader Ginsbrurg? She’s totally neutral, as John Roberts assured us they all are, so it seems odd they seem to consider her so dreamy.
A “Celebration of Life”.
It is ridiculous to allow any government worker to keep the job after age 70-1/2. By that age, if those workers have not accomplished their task, they are not going to in future. IRS forces me to withdraw from my IRA’s at age 70-1/2. But judges can work until they resemble a mummy?
Mental capabilities deteriorate significantly in most septuagenarians. Next year I will be burning 80 candles, and I can keep physically fit with visits to Gym 4 times a weak, but my memory is nothing like it was at age 40. And I could no longer write one million lines long computer code for an expert computer system like I could in 30’s and 40’s.
I wish Ruth Bader Ginsburg a long, healthy life...in retirement, starting NOW.
“Eric Adams ... will host the party for Ginsburg...”
“Party” = “funeral”.
You can imagine my lack of enthusiasm...
Maybe she’s in a wheelchair with lots of breathing tubes, or maybe she’s just a brain floating in a jar. Whatever condition she is, they sure don’t want us to see it.
Every time I see “RBG”, I think of “BRG” which stands for British Racing Green - an automotive paint color. Either way, she can take a long walk off a short pier.
RBG = Ruth Be Gone
I will celebrate the funeral and nothing more.
Is she STILL dead?
