Feminist activists have only one goal this year: to make sure abortions in all forms stay legal.
As the Supreme Court decides whether or not to hear a case that could end legislation requiring aborted fetuses to be buried as human beings, feminists are panicking. This could be the first abortion-related case to be heard by a conservative-leaning court, and the first abortion case to be heard by Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
Creator of the Daily Show and pro-abortion activist Lizz Winstead tweeted on Jan. 11, “Today SCOTUS decides whether it will hear an Indiana case requiring mandatory cremation/ burial for abortions AND miscarriages based on ‘dignity of personhood’ If they take it, & decide medical waste is a person, ROE IS DEAD. PLEASE PAY ATTENTION.”

Guidance from the Royal College of Nursing advises that hospitals should offer parents the option of arranging individual or shared cremation or burial of pregnancy remains, usually paid for by the Trust; or, if parents prefer, the option of taking the baby’s remains home and making private arrangements. You should be given time to decide – as well as the option not to make a decision at all.
However, actual practice varies a great deal and sadly, some hospitals may still treat the remains of an early loss as clinical waste unless you request otherwise. (This is not illegal in England and Wales, although Scottish government guidance is different.)
If you want to find out about the arrangements at your hospital, ask a nurse or midwife on the ward or unit where you were cared for, the hospital chaplain, the PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison) officer, or the hospital bereavement service.
You may want to make your own arrangements for burying or cremating the remains of your baby, whether you use a funeral director or a specialist cremation service or choose to bury the remains at home or somewhere else. You can read more about this on page 14 of this leaflet and below. There are some things to think about and you may want to contact us for further information.

If it’s “just the woman’s body” then men shouldn’t have to pay child support.
The rats have had 45 years to pass a federal abortion statute. Why haven’t they? Because public support just isn’t there. No way would the “right” to abortion find a House/Senate majority.
As for the case at hand, by what illogic should a majority of blackrobes tell a state what is and is not medical waste? WTF does this have to do with the Constitution? Nothing.
Danielle, fetal tissue is arranged in arms and legs, just like your adult tissue. Fetal tissue uses food and oxygen, just like adult tissue. Fetal tissue has a central nervous system and peripheral nerves which sense and process information about its world, just like adult issue. There is actually no scientific basis on which to deny that a an aggregate of fetal tissue is a human being. Try to learn some biology before you go mouthing off inanity like that.
