She just left, she got very heated and angry with me. We were debating the state of the economy and the effects on minorities and she started spewing vile curse words and invective on Christmas Day.
Wow. Threw the Christmas cake on the ground. She's 35-years old, works in finance in Morristown, NJ and New York City.
I'm perplexed this holiday season. Now, I just want to stay home and just watch TV or something. Should I bring them over again?

It’s not just liberals. I know conservatives that are the same way. They get consumed with bitterness and anger. The problem with liberals is that they get a steady diet of hyperbole and virtue-signalling 24X7 on the news cycles and conservatives do not. It warps their minds into thinking their beliefs are the only acceptable ones. Anything else is Hitler.
I watched TV. The Conners was on. Now I am really depressed.

They were INTENTIONALLY starved, so as to weaken them to prevent escapes and to save money on food. Per the books that I’ve read, they were given about 1,000 calories a day, roughly half of even what couch potatoes require.

Having said that, your home is yours. You can reach out to the cousin and express your willingness for forgiveness. Let them know that in Christ’s ultimate sacrifice, you wholeheartedly forgive them.
Then ask for restitution for the destruction to a poor cake and don’t invite her again.
It won’t get that far so no worries. You do what is best and extend forgiveness. It will of course not be met in kind.
I’m surprised at all the replies who insist that you be nice and loving to that subhuman monster. She would happily see you sent off to a “reducation canp” and persecuted for your beliefs.
I would cut that thing out of my life. Just because someone is related to you by blood doesn’t mean that you must associate with them. Let’s face it, “families” are overrated and dysfunctional. Friends are much more dependable and loyal than family anyway.
I have a couple of leftist relatives who threw a tantrum after the election and we haven’t spoken since. I haven’t missed them at all and don’t plan to associate with them again.
BTW, if a leftist loon had behaved like that in my home, I would have rubbed some of the pieces of the cake in her face.

Family, different subject, we had a discussion start about Trump recently with the libs saying how much they hated him and my response was ‘we’re not here to talk politics, we’re here to bring up fond memories of …. it was after a funeral. You have to distract them, like small children.
