She just left, she got very heated and angry with me. We were debating the state of the economy and the effects on minorities and she started spewing vile curse words and invective on Christmas Day.
Wow. Threw the Christmas cake on the ground. She's 35-years old, works in finance in Morristown, NJ and New York City.
I'm perplexed this holiday season. Now, I just want to stay home and just watch TV or something. Should I bring them over again?

Suggestion: Don’t assert anything when arguing with a liberal. Just ask questions. See how deep their rabbit hole goes. And don’t ask hostile questions; just whimsical questions or inquiring questions. Eventually you’ll get them down to the nub of the issue, and that without alienating them or angering them. In their hearts they know the truth but they will have to come to grips with it on their own.
I'm curious who started the conversation? I had something similar happened to me with my dad during the Clinton impeachment back in the 1990's.

I would meet two college friends once a week at The Blind Tiger beer bar on Bleecker in Greenwich Village. We were friends forty plus years. It was always a good two, three hours of craft beer, talk and jokes. At least till Trump was elected. I rarely talked politics after that as I knew where one of the guys stood. But one day he commented on a facebook post of mine, about culture not politics, and as I started to discuss it he launched into an attack, calling me the usual racist homophobic hater pejoratives. I put my Ommergand saison on the bar and walked out. That was seven months ago. Funny thing is I miss the third fellow. We talked about everything but mostly sports movies and music. Unfortunately they were friends before I came along and do most everything together.
Here is the kicker though that gives me some hope. The barmaid whom I got to know in the last four years is an import from Portland and a millenial liberal and vegan. Yet we NEVER had a harsh word between us. She invited me and my daughter to her wedding. Last week on a day I knew my former friend would not be there , my daughter and I stopped by. The greeting I got from Kate, the bar gal, was wonderful. We chatted and she comped our brews. Somerimes I think there is hope, but not for my former ftiend.
