Get Ready: With Democrats in Power, 2019 Will Be the Year of Gun Confiscation

A court recently upheld New Jerseys ban on firearm magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but state officials have steadfastly refused to inform the citizens just how they intend to enforce that law. But the fact that it was upheld and coupled with news in a growing list of other states not to mention the noise from Washington DC proves that the Democrats intend to make 2019 the year of gun confiscation and ending the Second Amendment in every way without saying it openly.
As to New Jersey, Governor Phil Murphy signed the ban on extended magazines in June, but it immediately underwent an appeal by gun supporters. But it looks like supporters of the Constitution lost that battle.
...
So far, the state imagines it has the right to ban these common ammunition magazines. But, just how do officials plan to prosecute people who simply refuse to voluntarily hand over their magazines?
No one is saying.

This is most definitely coming... Democrats in New York, led by Cuomo, have been wanting it for years.

Let them try. Perfect 2020 issue for Trump to hold every red state he won in 2016.

Democrat-controlled states will push more voters out the Democrat’s grip because the gun laws don’t work. It’s a feel-good measure that does nothing to help the problem. The Democrats will even admit that as they push for even tougher restrictions.

Completely agree. Should have used it as a wedge issue more during the midterms.

Confiscation maybe coming in some areas, but not the country in general for reasons of the dems being in power.
They do not control the Senate or the Oval Office. The Supreme Court is also not in their full control.
Therefore, they are not in power, the article is misleading.
Back when they were in near full control of govt with obama in power, they did less than Clinton did with regards to gun control.
But I agree, they will make more efforts. They may succeed at state levels colored blue, but not red states.

My concern are gun bans by popular referendum. Florida voters are working to get an assault weapons ban on the ballot in 2020 and I have no doubt every minivan-driving soccer mom will vote for it.

Good point. Funny how they’re all for state control when it comes to ones they have power in, applied to issues of overturning the Constitution.

And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward. ― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918-1956

Are they willing to die to try confiscation?
Because I know millions of us are willing to die to keep them.
So...let them try.

They only control the House. Without the Senate and the White House they can’t confiscate anything.

You all forget Toomey/Manchin are still pushing assault weapon bans.
Additionally, “red light” laws at the federal level could be created to report on your neighbor as a threat.

I moved to KY from Seattle several years ago. I’m good for a while.
It’s not “cold dead hands” time yet, at least in THIS commonwealth.

"...report your neighbor..."
Exactly. They are not going to someday willy-nilly knock on random doors.
They are going to entice husbands, wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, and children to report gun ownership.
