Not necessarily. Newt Gingrich went from being hated here overnight to be some kind of revered conservative savior. He hadn't done anything besides flap his gums, since he had been out of office for well over a decade when the "President Newt Gingrich -- our beloved Republic deserves nothing less" propaganda started on here.

Well for some people saying the right things counts as "doing something". In Newt's case he reminded people of how he was the "greatest Speaker ever", true or not.

I think a lot of men — yes; Lindsey is one — easily can see themselves in Kavanaugh’s spot, i.e., falsely accused of sexual misconduct. They know it has to be nipped in the bud now, with the Kavanaugh issue, or this will be a never-ending scenario. All men are potential targets of this.
