A little over a week ago, someone attempted to blackmail me. On August 12, I received this message in an e-mail:
...I infected your system with a trojan and now have all of your private data out of your operating system.
It previously was set up on an adult page then you have selected the video and clicked on it, my program instantly got into your os.
And then, your cam documented you soloing, also i caught a footage that you've seen.
Just after a little while this also pulled out your device contacts. If you ever wish me to clear off your everything i have got - transfer me 450 dollars in bitcoin it is a cryptocurrency.
At this moment you will have 24 hours. to make a decision The minute i will receive the deal i'll get rid of this footage and every little thing entirely. Otherwise, you should remember that your video is going to be submitted to all your contacts.
Though it wasnt the case in my instance, to heighten the level of threat, sometimes these e-mail scams even contain passwords used by the recipient. This is a new type of scam dreamed up by criminals seeking to prey on those who, because of their immoral behavior, have made themselves vulnerable to such a scheme.
Having never before received such a message, I was taken aback. However, because I knew that I had not done what the accuser had claimedand because of the bad grammar and other cluesI was never frightened that the threat was real. I suppose a clear conscience is worth at least $450.

Cheap insurance policy................
Blue ribbon?
I don’t understand.

I am going to be RICH!
Porn is hard to avoid especially when it’s 2 young babes doing it.
Ha! Exactly! (I have that on my laptop.) However, and of course, when it comes to porn use, it’s best never to have watched the garbage in the first place.
Painters tape, cover your Webcam lens is the inference
Tape over your computers webcam. (To prevent hackers from seeing anything if they do access it.) Whether or not you have done things that could be blackmailed, of course it’s a good idea not to let others into your private life via your computer’s camera.
I have no cameras on the home systems and the office rig points at the ceiling.
My laptop is a company asset and could be subject to review at any time. Needless to say, I’d never hazard having obscene material on it.
I also have a piece of tape on the camera.
A friend is struggling mightily with a porn addiction. It’s affecting many things including his marriage and his kids.
Truth.
Blue Painter’s TAPE.....................
Oh!
My desktop doesn’t have a camera or a microphone, so no problem there.
I have a laptop with a camera and mic, but I only use it in a docking station in my office or when I’m transferring files to my desktop, which takes very little time.
I don’t use these things for immoral purposes, anyway.
I stand for hours bent over with cheeks spread wide in front of my computer. It’s my way of sending a message to the NSA.
There was a guy on Sharks the investor’s show a couple of years ago that had some kind of plastic clip that you could put on the screen and slide over the camera.
They didn’t go for it. One of them said something like, ‘A piece of tape would do that.”..................
I dont open emails from people I dont know
You do know that the camera and mic can be activated by a hacker without your knowledge and he can see and hear everything in the range of the camera and mic?.................
Porn is not hard to avoid
People who would rather watch than do need some serious psychological help
