In an utterly classless move that fans of the Apprentice learned to expect from the likes of Omarosa Manigault-Newman, the former White House aide appeared on NBCs Meet the Press with Chuck Todd. While peddling her new book, Unhinged, she released a secret recording of White House Chief of Staff John Kelly firing her, citing integrity issues.
The release of this recording came just two days after Manigault Newman was caught in a blatant lie about whether she heard President Trump the N-word.
Omarosa was abruptly fired in December from her position as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison. The Wall Street Journal reported that upon her firing, Manigault Newman had to be physically dragged and escorted off the campus.
Many immediately noted the shocking breach of every known security protocol revealed by Manigault Newman of her own actions when she revealed she recorded Kelly in the situation room. The situation room is known as a SCIF or a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility. This is a room in which all personnel is supposed to be required to surrender any and all recording, photographic and any other electronic media devices.

I would charge NBC with collusion. They knew she had the recording and allowed her to play it.
WTH link is that?
She and Reality Winner can share a cell.
I ain’t clickin’ that.
Is there a transcript of the recording she played?
100% Clickbait and appears to be content, almost word-for-word from other sites. Skip it.
I wonder if anything will actually be done about this breach. Law and order for lefty elites seems to mean very little.
I remember seeing her on “The View” some time ago and thought she did well standing up to the gritches on that show. I kind of liked her at first and thought he picked a good partner. Hadn’t heard anything about her til this scandal. Sad. Now it’s obvious what a disloyal farce she is/was.
I listened intently, mainly because I wanted to see if the firing process and lingo is different between the highest level of government, versus how it is in most private companies. Turns out they are same.
Kelly was absolutely by-the-book. Not sure why this clown Omarosa would release it, as it damages no one in the Trump White House, and puts herself in great legal jeopardy.
100% political stunt by the DemonRats, AS USUAL.
Looks like the link comes from an email newsletter. When software like mailchimp is used, there’s metadata in their to show where the link is sourced. It’s how websites/companies can tell what type of marketing is working best for them. In this case, it shows newsletter but it could show as a link on facebook or twitter etc.
No big deal
That being said, that site has more ads and outgoing links than original content.
Recording a person without their knowledge is not illegal in D.C.
“She and Reality Winner can share a cell.”
Nice. I’d like to see how long Winner’s “pretty, white and cute card” lasts in that situation.
Any recording in a SCIF has always been illegal.
Anyone heard Stormy’s name lately? I thought not.
I just listened to it, too. Gen’l Kelly handled it with the utmost professionalism. What was interesting is that he said her ethics violations, if they had occurred in the military, would rise to Courts Martial levels. That has to be some incredibly serious breaches of ethics. He mentioned spending, but it must be a lot worse than that.
Concur — why would she release this? In no way does it bolster her case and, instead, increases her own exposure and legal jeopardy.
When I’ve had to fire people, we have always had the HR person in the room when the news is delivered, frequently with a corporate attorney. Interesting that Gen’l Kelly delivered the news himself and brought HR in after he departed. I like the calm way he shut her down when she asked if the President was aware. Very good command.
Is entry to a SCIF always based on an honor system? Are people required to deposit all electronic devices in a box before entering? No metal detector examinations required to enter?
It is generally an honor system where everyone deposits electronic devices in a box. However, the Facility Security Officer has the authority to personally check anyone in the facility for electronic devices. Most sane people comply with the rules due to the fact that they want to stay employed and avoid criminal charges (Unless you are one of the protected people such as Hillary and the omarosa dog.)
Have not heard anyone say that. Maybe it is a regulation, ut no one who supposedly would know has said that.
No such crime as collusion
She became VERY close with Trump during the Apprentice and he hired her for other gigs with substantial salary. Then she got married. He gave her free use of the Trump Towers, all their facilities and paid all expenses for the wedding.
Then he brought her along to the White House with a $15,000 a month salary. You would think she might value the friendship and be thankful!
