I listened intently, mainly because I wanted to see if the firing process and lingo is different between the highest level of government, versus how it is in most private companies. Turns out they are same.

Kelly was absolutely by-the-book. Not sure why this clown Omarosa would release it, as it damages no one in the Trump White House, and puts herself in great legal jeopardy.

I just listened to it, too. Gen’l Kelly handled it with the utmost professionalism. What was interesting is that he said her ethics violations, if they had occurred in the military, would rise to Courts Martial levels. That has to be some incredibly serious breaches of ethics. He mentioned spending, but it must be a lot worse than that.

Concur — why would she release this? In no way does it bolster her case and, instead, increases her own exposure and legal jeopardy.

When I’ve had to fire people, we have always had the HR person in the room when the news is delivered, frequently with a corporate attorney. Interesting that Gen’l Kelly delivered the news himself and brought HR in after he departed. I like the calm way he shut her down when she asked if the President was aware. Very good command.
