To kick it off.
Anyone know what it feels like to be told you will be shot one by one?
Reading through your thread FRiend, with prayers lifting - so thankful that you are ok, and hoping that you are starting to decopmpress a bit.
Just read thru this thread this a.m....so glad you made it out safely. Prayers. Your comment about going to the hospital...I hope you did go, and are resting.
Oh Bunny, Im so sorry that you had to go through that. Thank God you made it out alive. God bless you!
How did you get disarmed?
The State aristocracy won’t allow peasants (or, more Spanish-like, peons) to have guns? Why were you there?
I hope that you have taken a taxi to the hospital by now to be checked out. I’ve read all of your posts, and it sounds like you could use some TLC, or some medical assistance. God bless you!
Indiana is not a “Constitutional Carry” State (yet), so I’ll stay where I am, thankyouverymuch.
“I kept pulling up his jacket to keep him warm”.
You are a better Christian than me Bunny. I would have been thinking “die you POS”.
I have prayed for your healing and a prayer of thanks you are alive.
I was held at gunpoint by a killer. My wife and I were at the beach in Sarasota in 1998 and a white punk running from police shot at beachgoers. He then held off the many police officers by coming over toward us to choose one hostage. I told my wife to crawl under a parked car and stay there. Three younger guys and stood together and we made our plan if the gunman came near us. I was 42 and they were about 25 . We were resolutely going to take him down. I felt strangely calm but my wife was terrified under the car. She said from under the car “What do you see?” Is said “He’s waving the gun and coming toward us” “She said, Oh,God. What good will it do me if you die. I don’t want you to die.” I remember saying “ I’m not going to die and neither are you.”
The killer chose one man in his 70s and his wife almost fainted with terror. He slowly walked the man to the parking lot, grinning a triumphant grin I will never forget, with the gun held to the man’s head. By chance he went to the right side of the lane in the lot and we were on the left but only about 10 feet away at most.
The killer got into the man’s car and roared off, the cops allowing it, of course. I heard the nearest cop say “Our mistake was the decision to let him leave, now he’ll kill that man anyway.”
He much later released the hostage from a house he had invaded with two other people in it. Cops arrested him.
He was from Michigan (where my wife and I live) and committed some crimes while hiding in Sarasota. He murdered a woman in her 60s who had hired him to do chores as a kindness to him. He figured she must have a lot of money from her business at her house so she had his accomplice talk to her while he grinned (accomplice said) and shot her in the head through her bathroom window from outside. he dimwits were wrong-—her money was all in the bank, of course and only $20 was in cash at the house. She died for nothing.
After we got back we were hyper for a few hours, then exhausted, then mixed emotions the next day.
You will feel better at some point but don’t rush it. God will heal you.
May God bless you. Amen.

Lucky rabbit feet...... Hmmmmm

Glad you’re okay and sorry you had to deal with that situation.
No, LA is my home town. I love so many things about So Cal.
God bless, get some rest. What a story!
Hi there, looks like You got about as much of a nap as I did. Grandson got dropped off at 07:15 EST.
How are You doing?
Sorry you got caught up in this. Glad you made it out. God Bless.
May God Bless You with comfort and peace, BunnySlippers, in the aftermath of this trauma, in Jesus name, Amen.
And this is why i do all my shopping on Amazon, except for groceries, Publix has an armed guard.
You seem to be a very strong woman. Of course you are still in shock.
My God, BunnySlippers, what an ordeal! I’m glad you got out safe.
Catching up with the thread. 1-4 feet away from the gunman, that is even scarier than I realized. So glad you were kept safe. Thanks to Gd.
Thank you God that you made it out. Praying for your comfort, peace of mind and healing.
So sorry you had to go through this..the most important thing is that you are safe..I think that is the police worst fear when they are chasing a suspect, there is always that chance they will bail and go into a store/restaurant, etc..so sad about the trader joes employee that was killed, the question is, was she killed by the perp or by the cops in exchanging gunfire I guess we will find out soon..so happy that you are safe such a horrible experience you had to go through
