I thought I was there an hour. But it was over three hours. At the end, he had the seven of us gather closer to him as the police pulled a tank up to the window.

Right now you are in shock/our of touch but soon reality will hit you.. when it doea look at it as as an opportunity to fix anything in your life that isn’t right

Just saw a news report about this on Fox News... and now I'm reading about your first-hand account at the scene of this horrific incident at Trader Joe's. Unreal.

I laid on the floor most of the time trying to protect my head. Then he had us sit around him [just 7 of us] .... he was shaking and shivering from having been shot several times .... so, since I was right next to him, I kept pulling uphils jacket to keep him warm.

I bought two bottles of Pinot Grigio but they are still at Trader Joes.

I thought that might have been the case since you mentioned that you had just checked out as the situation unfolded.

Now, I'm wondering if there is an official PD policy re: stopping to get a bottle of wine for a woman who has just been held hostage at gunpoint for several hours?? They should update the handbook to include that possibility:)
