A couple of years ago, I went with a Black friend, and former LAPD officer who had “retired” to the East Bay, to work as Course Marshals at the Long Beach Grand Prix. On the way home, he suggested that we stop at a burger joint on Sepulveda in the Valley to get something to eat before hitting I-5. Having looked at a job change that would have taken me to Chatsworth, some year ago, I was shocked at how the area had changed. My Black, former cop friend, commented that “we should have been carrying.” Illegal immigration has destroyed Los Angeles County.

And this is what I have been in this thread; immediately jumping in with comments without showing much empathy at all for bunny slippers and the terrible experience just lived through.

BunnySlippers, you remained very calm and rational throughout your ordeal. That is a very good mental sensibility to have during such a stressful event, and I admire your innate ability to deal with the hand that was dealt you greatly. You are a very psychologically strong woman whether you knew it or not at the time. But you know it now as you have been tested under fire. Kudo’s from this admiring Freeper.
