Lena Dunham feels 'joyous' being heavier

Lena Dunham got a lot of attention last year when she appeared in public looking svelte.

Now the actress has said she is heavier and happier.

The "Girls" star posted a split image of herself Wednesday showing her at 138 pounds in the past and now at 162 pounds.

The 24 pounds has made a difference, Dunham said.

I've been at both of those weights and I can tell you she's a lying sack o' shit.

138 is the perfect weight for me, and 24 lbs or even 15 more changes everything. It changes the way you walk (i.e. lumber), the way you feel about yourself, it makes you angry that you let yourself get that heavy, depressed over how you look and nothing fits anymore, no motivation.

As Margot Asquith once told Anita Loos, "Never get fat, dear child. Fat smothers anybody's vitality." That may not be true for some, but it absolutely was for me.
