"Melania was among the top five baby names in rising popularity last year, the first year of Melania Trumps time as first lady of the United States.
The name Melania came in just behind Ensley, Oaklynn, Dream, and Oaklyn in rising popularity for 2017, according to the U.S. Social Security Administration. The name Melania flew 720 spots up the chart from 2016 to 2017.

A CNN/SSRS poll released this week revealed the rising popularity of Mrs. Trump. The Trumps are extraordinary people called to service in an extraordinary time.
Maybe this will mean my phone will stop auto-correcting her name to "Melanie".
I’d be curious where Donald fits in today, versus 2-3 years ago?
Or Barron?
Wouldn’t the left have fits?
Imagine if Kanye had a surge amongst blacks this next year.
The Anti-Hillary effect. Remember how she single-handedly drove down the popularity of that name?
Yes, Hillary ruined that name for decades to come.
Melania is a lovely name and not punitive to a child like saddling them with the currently faddish freak show names.
Ya, the popularity of the name Hillary, cratered after the Clintons came on the national scene.
Are there many baby Baracks out there?
What the hell....
Ensley, Oaklynn and Dream, what kind of dopy names are those?
Reminds me Dweezil and Moon Unit and Diva Muffin
“Not so different from Medieval times are we?”
Well, except then it would have been people naming their daughters after St. Melania.

Sometimes parents just ask for their kids to get their a$$#$ kicked.
There are certain names that kids just seem to grow into (most of the time)
Name a girl Heather or Brook(e) and chances are she'll be pretty and popular.
Certain other names like ...
Leave you with perpetual spinsters
I grew up confused.
Until I was about 7 I thought all our names where “RrrKkkJeee Damn Kids!”
Note the fun-with-statistics in this article: what's being compared is not the per-item use of the names but the rate of increase. From one "Oaklyn" or "Oaklynn" (poor kid) per year to a few dozen is a substantial rate of increase, even thought there still are, fortunately, very few in gross terms.
Not that Melania isn't a perfectly nice name, except when too many other people have it.
Oaklyn...yeah, I would really love a name that sounds like Ebonics for “Oakland”.
OMG
Ensley, Oaklynn, Dream, and Oaklyn.
Whatever, LOL!
I guess if Hillary! was named for Sir Edmund...then anything goes.
*SNORT*
LOL!
Followed closely by MELATONIA?
Ensley?!?!
Oaklyn(n)?!?!?!
What are they having? Children or trees?
Good Lord, some day these kids are going to be adults. Give them names they can live with as adults.
I hope all the lefty magazines who are ignoring Melania see this headline.
