Note the fun-with-statistics in this article: what's being compared is not the per-item use of the names but the rate of increase. From one "Oaklyn" or "Oaklynn" (poor kid) per year to a few dozen is a substantial rate of increase, even thought there still are, fortunately, very few in gross terms.
Not that Melania isn't a perfectly nice name, except when too many other people have it.

My mother’s name was Melania. Until the Trumpster’s wife came along, I had never run into another Melania. Plenty of Melanie’s, but never a Melania.
I loved that name and wanted to name a daughter Melania, but we only had boys.
