Three times this year I've been hit with a sudden and strong bout of some kind sickness.
It's gone like this: Severe chills, extreme drowsiness, weakness to the point being unable to move for about a half a day. Then the chills turn into a higher temp but not feverish, slight nausea, but still so drowsy and weak. Usually by 2 or 3 am I finally throw up and start feeling better.
The first time I toughed it out and didn't go to the quack. In a couple of days I was fine.
The second time a couple weeks ago I got hit again and went to the medical types. I tested negative for flu but I asked for tamiflu and was OK in a couple of days.
This last round was yesterday. I was having a normal day at the office and within 30 minutes of feeling something wasn't right, I was getting hit hard.
I went straight to the medics and asked them to text me when my slot came open. It was so cold to me, I stayed in my truck with the heat blasting on 75 degree day.
Eventually I got in and examined. My white blood count was very high but nothing else objectionable. Chest X-ray ran and lungs were clean.
Never did I have any breathing or congestion problems.
The antibiotics help so far.
It was the being so cold that scared me a little.
I still seem to be one of those that apparently exists to confound the medical community.
I'm 95% better now and will go to the mines.
Can we rule out pregnancy ?
If your white blood cell count is high there is something going on.
is it possible you’re being poisoned? not being facetious; just need to consider it when all other reasons are ruled out.
The other thing I’ll mention is that is sounds like adrenal fatigue, which can wreak havoc on your thyroid. Being cold like that is a symptom of underactive thyroid/low cortisol
Can you rule out poisoning? Something in your coffee?
Salt and water balance. Too little salt too much water?? Hyponatremia
Beat me ... was thinking the same thing.
I’m no doctor, but I play one on the Internet. Sounds like food poisoning.
Food poisoning or an allergic reaction.
High white cell counts point to infection which can exist with other conditions. Might ask to have them check your thyroid function.
Thyroid . . . dry skin?
malaria
I thought some mystery tick bite disease, too
calling “doctor house.”
seriously though, let us know what it is if you find out. i think it’s something you need to get to the bottom of.
Heavy duty infection.
If the time between your bouts is about the same duration, it could be a parasite.
Stool test should show.
Or, you might have something seriously wrong with you. I think if I were your quack I might like to order some more tests.
Amazing maybe these guys can help:

Sounds like malaria.
Plug in your symptoms into a search engine. My daughter did this after some bouts of kidney stones and found there was a doctor in FL who was an expert in this field and in a few days she was on her way to FL and he removed a tumor from her parathyroid, I think. She’s been fine ever since but her local doctor was missing it. Good luck.
