Excellent. This will open up the bidding process for out-of-state contractors.

It would be a terrible thing if the Chi-Coms were to nuke our ten bluest urban areas.

The Wall will provide lots of work for them. Maybe just relocate out of California to AZ, TX, etc.

This will open up the bidding process for out-of-state contractors. How, if cities and towns from all sorts of states are prohibited from doing any official business with the companies?

The government can write in long term maintenance/repair contracts to soften the blow. That way Bezerkley,California can boycott all they want.

What's fair is fair.
The Federal government should declare any company that does business in any of these states to be ineligible for any Federal contracts for a specified number of years.
Basically, simply modify the Federal contracting process so that any company doing business in these states is treated no differently than a company that does business with enemy nations.

This is a violation of the Sherman Anti-Trust Act - 15 USC § 1 "Every contract, combination in the form of trust or otherwise, or conspiracy, in restraint of trade or commerce among the several States, or with foreign nations, is declared to be illegal. Every person who shall make any contract or engage in any combination or conspiracy hereby declared to be illegal shall be deemed guilty of a felony, and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine not exceeding $100,000,000 if a corporation, or, if any other person, $1,000,000, or by imprisonment not exceeding 10 years, or by both said punishments, in the discretion of the court."
And the Act defines "persons" as follows: "The word 'person', or 'persons', ....shall be deemed to include corporations and associations existing under or authorized by the laws of either the United States, the laws of any of the Territories, the laws of any State, or the laws of any foreign country.

Going to be a lot less “Blue” cities once that first year of no SALT tax deduction and the actual dollar amounts become apparent to taxpayers in those areas.

Isn’t this restraint of trade? Collusion? Interstate commerce violation? RICO?

Perhaps FedGov could prioritize cities that boycott federal contractors for ICE raids. Restore them to American control and see if they will stop attacking businesses that help to defend our country.

F Berkeley.
If you believe the Wall is a good thing, you’ll have no problem with the boycott. In fact, wear it proudly. You’d be amazed how many Hispanics *want* the Wall built.

I favor a national law prohibiting the bans against any company conducting legitimate government business or we could wind up with a fish mash of prohibited contractors all over the country.
