REPORT: Mitch McConnell Camp Planted Roy Moore Story To Clear Path For Trump Impeachment Attempt
DC Whispers ^

Posted on 11/19/2017 6:59:00 AM PST by drewh

What a disgusting cesspool of self-serving corruption is the nation’s capital and no better example of that can be found today than Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell who, according to longtime political activist, Ned Ryun, was a primary source of the anti-Roy Moore stories that are now attempting to sway the upcoming Alabama special election and help clear the path for a Trump impeachment attempt in 2018.

“…I strongly suspect it’s a very short list of people, all who are associated with Mitch McConnell – whether it’s Josh Holmes, whether it’s Karl Rove, might even be Steven Law – I don’t know, but I strongly, strongly suspect somebody out of the McConnell camp planted the story. It was planted. This came with the blessing of Mitch McConnell at some point, that he was going to take a political shot at Roy Moore.”

According to whispers, it wasn’t just taking “political shot” at Moore that motivating the McConnell camp. They want Roy Moore out of the way and replaced with someone of McConnell’s choosing, or even Moore’s Democrat opponent, Doug Jones, a man whose career is linked to the Bill Clinton administration. Moore would be a vehement defender of POTUS Trump and his policies. If McConnell is to succeed in laying the groundwork for an impeachment trial and vote in the Senate, he will need fewer senators like Roy Moore to contend with.

McConnell is said to know actual impeachment proceedings remain a distant possibility, (the Paul Ryan-led House would first have to vote to impeach) but he is more determined than ever to be ready should that opportunity present itself. For those who might scoff at the notion of a Republican Congress actually pursuing articles of impeachment against Donald Trump, simply recall the failed votes to repeal and replace Obamacare, the ongoing troubles to pass tax cuts, and the number of Republican senators who continue to openly speak out against the President.

The motivation to go after Trump is there. What is left is a simple matter of numbers. Getting rid of a Roy Moore and replacing him with a an anti-Trump senator would give McConnell that much more leverage to make his dreams of eliminating Trump a reality.

Revealing of use of $15m in taxpayer funds as sex assault Congressional slush fund blew their plan.

This is very much UNDER-reported.

Question: What percentage of the $15M hush-money was Dem versus Republican grabasstic behavior?

Unusual that McConnell and his allies, within an hour of the original Wapo release, raced to the microphones to condemn the Judge. I've never seen them move so quickly before

I have. When the GOP, the party of bush, released the "p***y grabbing tape", the Repuki party stampeded to the mics to ask Trump to step down.

I don’t know if it is a conspiracy or not, but I think there are a lot of people in the GOP elite who wish that Donald Trump was not the President and would like to find a way to get rid of him. They think they could deal with Pence and they know they can deal with Ryan. There are was an article that I read how about Bob Corker saying that Roy Moore’s candidacy was a bridge too far even before the scandal. John McCain was also involved. So I could believe that John McCain, Bob Corke, Mitch McConnell, Jeff Flake et all could be responsible for this whole thing. If so, that would be a conspiracy, with Karl Rove doing the actual dirty tricks. I saw him on TV the other day acting quite elated by the situation.

Well I'm predicting that Judge Moore is going to win the special election. And then you will have egg on your face.

What makes you think Moore is going to lose? Do you really think a state that elected Trump by 30 points a year ago is going to suddenly vote for a Democrat all because some lame senator (McConnell) wants to impeach Trump?

“If this ploy fails, it may end up being more extreme means.”

That was always a forgone conclusion. One man against a 4 trillion dollar irreparably corrupt stasi state.

If anything happens to Trump, the decoration of lamp posts in D.C. will make the crucifixions on the Appian way pale in comparison.

“Do away with Senate elections and you do away with party bloc control of the Senators.”

If Senators are chosen by the state legislature as provided for the in the original Constitution, in any state where one political party controls both houses of the legislature, the Senator chosen will be a member of that party. Currently 32 state legislatures are controlled by the Republican party. Democrats control 13 states and those legislatures will certainly elect a Democrat. The remaining states have divided government so the process required to elect someone suitable to both party would likely be messy in this polarized era.

Selection of Senators by legislatures won’t completely eliminate party block control of the process, but as you pointed out it will tie the process to local corruption, not national. Hopefully it will also make the voters more discerning in the selection of their representatives in the legislature. Certainly it will result in more money from outside the state being employed in local elections as well as more outside political activists being used in local campaigns. More litigation, funded by outside interests, is also likely. Outside organizations will challenge redistricting by the legislature and will also sue over voter registration laws and practices.

Hollywood can’t hold a candle to the corruption and evil in DC. You are right — everyone is involved in the Godless behavior — from top to bottom — longest running to newbies, and you can bet there are dossiers — both print and pictures on everyone for blackmail purposes. Men like Trump and Moore scare them to death, so they need to get rid of them.

“He said the number of uncorrupted elected officials in Washington can be counted on one hand.”

The same number that voted for Trump in D.C...a handful.

That’s why I laugh at people who say we need to replace the corrupt politicians with new politicians. The fed govt is so large and corrupt that no matter who you send there they get assimilated to the borg.

The fed govt needs to be radically reduced by whatever means necessary. President Trump is our last peaceful way to try and achieve this.

Certainly it will result in more money from outside the state being employed in local elections as well as more outside political activists being used in local campaigns.

The effect would be to dilute the opposition. In the Senate, there are 33 concurrent races; in the House, there are 435. That would be a lot of activism to spread around, and in a very visible way.

"This is actually getting to be fun to watch"

I am inclined to agree, this theater of the absurd could be amusing.

Unfortunately there are several unwilling passengers (including me) in the backseat of this Thelma & Louise charade.

Any truth to the rumor that Mitch McCuckold had to wait in line behind Monica Lewinsky under Bill Clinton’s desk in the Oval Office?

So, this is all a Republican plot to flip the seat to the Dems so to better enable Trump’s impeachment.

YOU really believe this junk? Tin foil hat time.

Reason I don’t buy into this theory is because a Moore victory will actually make Trump stronger. Getting Moore out of the race and electing the Democrat (in a red state that gave Trump a 30 point victory a year ago) was probably a 50/50 proposition at best. When you are trying to take out the king, you need better odds than that!

The GOP-e has spent the last 40 years or so surrendering. The only reason it doesn't always look like it, is that sometimes they vary the program between surrendering to the Dems, with surrendering to foreign powers.

They're about as useful as that French tank which had six gears for reverse... ;-P
