REPORT: Mitch McConnell Camp Planted Roy Moore Story To Clear Path For Trump Impeachment Attempt
DC Whispers ^

Posted on 11/19/2017 6:59:00 AM PST by drewh

What a disgusting cesspool of self-serving corruption is the nation’s capital and no better example of that can be found today than Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell who, according to longtime political activist, Ned Ryun, was a primary source of the anti-Roy Moore stories that are now attempting to sway the upcoming Alabama special election and help clear the path for a Trump impeachment attempt in 2018.

“…I strongly suspect it’s a very short list of people, all who are associated with Mitch McConnell – whether it’s Josh Holmes, whether it’s Karl Rove, might even be Steven Law – I don’t know, but I strongly, strongly suspect somebody out of the McConnell camp planted the story. It was planted. This came with the blessing of Mitch McConnell at some point, that he was going to take a political shot at Roy Moore.”

According to whispers, it wasn’t just taking “political shot” at Moore that motivating the McConnell camp. They want Roy Moore out of the way and replaced with someone of McConnell’s choosing, or even Moore’s Democrat opponent, Doug Jones, a man whose career is linked to the Bill Clinton administration. Moore would be a vehement defender of POTUS Trump and his policies. If McConnell is to succeed in laying the groundwork for an impeachment trial and vote in the Senate, he will need fewer senators like Roy Moore to contend with.

McConnell is said to know actual impeachment proceedings remain a distant possibility, (the Paul Ryan-led House would first have to vote to impeach) but he is more determined than ever to be ready should that opportunity present itself. For those who might scoff at the notion of a Republican Congress actually pursuing articles of impeachment against Donald Trump, simply recall the failed votes to repeal and replace Obamacare, the ongoing troubles to pass tax cuts, and the number of Republican senators who continue to openly speak out against the President.

The motivation to go after Trump is there. What is left is a simple matter of numbers. Getting rid of a Roy Moore and replacing him with a an anti-Trump senator would give McConnell that much more leverage to make his dreams of eliminating Trump a reality.

“Apparently, a huge number of those folks are involved in all kinds of Godless behavior from drugs to sex to who knows what and are being blackmailed by the key players who have provided that stuff.”

I once had a conversation with a corporate K street lobbyist. He said the number of uncorrupted elected officials in Washington can be counted on one hand. Per this lobbyist if an elected official isn’t corrupt when he/she arrives in Washington, the temptations are immediately served up — money, sex, and power.

The easiest to corrupt are those who fall into a sexual honeytrap. The process begins immediately at parties where beautiful young women and men are used to entrap the newly elected official. Once a set of photos is made, the politician is owned for life.

Money quickly becomes a problem for elected officials who are not independently wealthy. Soon after the first election to office a party official quickly explains to the neophyte the economics of running for reelection with and without party support. Toe the party line and you will have party money and access to the big donors. Go your own way and you will not have party support and will likely have an insider funded challenger at reelection time. In fact, if you are too independent, and the party doesn’t succeed in knocking you off in the primary, the party prefers the opposing candidate of the opposite party wins the general election than to have an independent candidate of its own label. We see this playing out in the Alabama race today and we saw it in the Trump vs. Clinton 2016 election.

Power is the ultimate aphrodisiac and many become hooked on the power game. Of course power and money work together. Climb the party hierarchy and the more access to big donor money one has. Power equates to committee chairmanships and party leadership roles as well as better offices, television exposure, and the opportunity to run for the big price — POTUS. Power also equals insulation from investigation and prosecution for the influence peddling, bribery, and insider trading that all of the big power players participate in. To win the power game one must play the insider game and serve the big donors. No one who is in a committee chairmanship or party leadership role got there without paying to play.

Per this lobbyist, the press knows the game inside out, including the vulnerabilities of all of the big names. However the headliner journalists, as well as the corporate executives of the media companies, are part of the inside power and money game. They actively protect the real puppeteers while savaging those who fall out of favor at the direction of the big power brokers. Notice for example that Dennis Hastert was never exposed while in the Speaker’s job, it was after he was not longer in a power position that he became a pawn to be sacrificed to send a message to others to toe the line.

Even independently wealthy ethical Congressmen and Senators have vulnerabilities. The IRS can always be used to find a technical violation of tax laws in the tens of thousands of pages of IRS regulation. The weaknesses of the family, staff, and close friends of the moral politician are also leverage points. Alcoholism of a spouse, drug problem of a child, criminal prosecution of a sibling or other close family member can always be used as points of leverage. A made up scandal that cannot be disproved, or would take years to disprove, can also be used to bring a politician to heel.

Since that conversation I’ve watched carefully the behavior of major players as well as my own representatives. Patterns are there and after some time spent observing their public behavior it becomes apparent what interests pull their strings in private.

Exactly, random nobody makes this accusation, based on absolutely nothing, and because it “fits the narrative” we’re all supposed to believe it.

Why not

You’re not a stupid freeper
Do you know how much McConnell group funded big Luther?

9 million we know of

Mitch knows senators like Moore will be on his ass and not play along

Think Ted Cruz after a bottle of scotch..a metaphor I doubt Moore drinks

But Moore will be a headline culture war lightning rod in Washington no question

He’s fearless..a bit quirky to be sure but full speed ahead sort

Soon after the first election to office a party official quickly explains to the neophyte the economics of running for reelection with and without party support. Toe the party line and you will have party money and access to the big donors.

And that is my main argument for the repeal of the 17th amendment. Do away with Senate elections and you do away with party bloc control of the Senators.

It's easier to manage 50 corruptions localized to their individual states, instead of the collusion of corruption at the federal level that is nationalized.

At least with the states, you have the self-interests of the other 49 states to balance the corruption of a runaway state. National corruption ends with weaponizing the arms of government against its people in order to protect the establishment.

At the very least, doing away with the elections will dry up the existing money spigots, such as McConnell's NRSC and SLF. He will have to rebuild a new power network to replace it, since it would be harder for McConnell to use national money to influence the state appointment in Mississippi or Alabama, like he's doing now.

Conspiracy theory???

It is no secret McConnell wanted his Establishment candidate Strange in and pushed hard for him. The entire D.C. Establishment said there was no way Roy Moore would win the Republican Primary in Alabama. Yet Roy Moore won. It sounds just like what the D.C. Establishment told us about President Trump before the 2016 election does it not? Anyway, McConnell’s guy Strange lost. This was after Strange was given a lot of money.

Roy Moore now looking to win in Alabama and all of a sudden out of the blue comes this fake story. McConnell was attacking Moore and telling him to stand down within the first 20 minutes of it!

Oh yeah and McConnell has NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS.

If McConnell was so righteousness as you seem to be implying, then how come he is silent on Al Franken? How come McConnell is silent on the secret congressional pay off fund for sexual harassment that has been exposed?

The only people McConnell attacks are those that will support President Trump.

Oh yeah McConnell has NOTHING to do with this......(sarcasm off).

Haha! S.M.H.

You don’t remember the Republican leadership (Ryan and Mcconnell as well as the regular cast of RINOs like Linda Graham and McCain asking Trump to get out of the race for the fake allegations against him. They were so eager to throw him under the bus I have no doubt McConnell was directly responsible for these bogus charges.

That was unusually fast for any swamp creature to react that fast to a bogus claim against Judge Moore, and especially so considering Mitch is much more than a swamp creature, he is a turtle.

Well, sort of close (this article). The battle really wasn’t about Trump. This was (is) a battle for the Republican Party between the McConnell establishment squishes and what has now become the Bannon insurrection. Trump is playing the middle...or at least trying to...rising above that fray.

I do think that the Democrats are playing a bait and switch here by throwing Clinton overboard and saying now that all women must be believed and bringing up Trump and Clarence Thomas, who are still around while jettisoning the Clintons and the relatively safe Franken seat (the money negotiation with Franken right now must be fun). But that is the Democrat play and will fail miserably.

The battle is really McConnell vs. Bannon - and the rancid U.S. Senate is scared to death, they know how much the “peasants” in the country hate them. McConnell’s play was rank desperation to keep an enemy outside of his fiefdom. Bannon nuked him by taking out a sitting Senator - and card-carrying member of the establishment - while also blowing the Moore accusations out of the water. And Bannon did it all while only directly attacking Democrats...Franken, Allred and the lying accusers of Moore. A beautiful play on Bannon’s part, and when Moore wins, the momentum in the battle will be all his.

don’t know if that’s true, but I wouldn’t put anything past the two snakes, McConnell and Ryan. I’ve feared for the last year, that their hatred of Trump could very well lead to then deliberately throwing the election, losing both house and senate, just so that Trump could either be impeached or hamstrung for the remainder of his term.

You should know all about “random troll” as all of your posts are anti Roy Moore when about 98% of all Freepers can see that this is a BS political smear campaign against Moore. Regardless, Moore will easily win.

McConnell didn’t do squat to control Obama.

I won’t list all the things Obama did, but McConnell was just fine with all of it. I don’t recall him every going out to a press briefing and condemning him.

Now he’s not only not helping Trump, he’s stalling, and actually joining with the Democrats to destroy his presidency.

McConnell has disgraced himself, the Republican party, the voters, and the election process of the United States of America. He is seeking to nullify an election.

Trump was elected on the basis of the policies he promised to enact. Those policies were constitutionally, financially, and morally sound.

McConnell does not have a sound footing to object to any of it.

Imagine, joining the forces of devoted communists and revolutionaries to topple the elected president of the United States of America, simply because you’re jealous.

That’s all this amounts to. McConnell is jealous that a man has come along that knows more about governing than McConnell ever dreamed to.

It’s time for McConnell to step down.

He doesn’t even belong in the Senate after his display of anti-American activity.
