I have often wondered how I missed the coming tragedy. It is not so much that I should have predicted that Americans would elect Donald Trump. It’s just that I shouldn’t have put it past us. It was tough to keep track of the currents of politics and pageantry swirling at once. All my life I had seen myself, and my people, backed into a corner. Had I been wrong? Watching the crowds at county fairs cheer for Michelle Obama in 2008, or flipping through the enchanting photo spreads of the glamorous incoming administration, it was easy to believe that I had been.
And it was more than symbolic. Barack Obama’s victory meant not just a black president but also that Democrats, the party supported by most black people, enjoyed majorities in Congress. Prominent intellectuals were predicting that modern conservatism – a movement steeped in white resentment – was at its end and that a demographic wave of Asians, Latinos and blacks would sink the Republican party.
Back in the summer of 2008, as Obama closed out the primary and closed in on history, vendors in Harlem hawked T-shirts emblazoned with his face and posters placing him in the black Valhalla where Martin, Malcolm and Harriet were throned. It is hard to remember the excitement of that time, because I now know that the sense we had that summer, the sense that we were approaching an end-of-history moment, proved to be wrong.
It is not so much that I logically reasoned out that Obama’s election would author a post-racist age. But it now seemed possible that white supremacy, the scourge of American history, might well be banished in my lifetime. In those days I imagined racism as a tumour that could be isolated and removed from the body of America....

Modern conservatism is colour blind
That was just BS from Hillary. She wanted to go against Jebba the Hut. He would have taken a knee for her. She would not even have to do much campaigning then. None of those Hillary is spastic and collapsing videos would have been made.
First commercial, if I had done that with my granny at the mall, she’d have been pissed and hit me. She almost never cracked a smile, anyhow.
Second commercial, I’d have slammed my fist on the fancy car repeatedly and shouted, “I’m walkin’ here ! I’m walkin’ here !” and jumped across the hood of the car. I reenacted that scene in “Midnight Cowboy” when I almost got struck by a car in Copley Square in Boston.
Third commercial. Dick waiter ignoring me. I was in Key West with my father and utterly parched (which was not a good thing) when we sat down at a restaurant. Waiter did nothing for a half hour and then I loudly screamed in front of the other patrons, “I’m f***ing THIRSTY ! Where’s my f***ing WATER ?” He was not happy, I could not care less. Ordinarily I know the rule not to crap on waitstaff because they could retaliate with your food, but I couldn’t believe how atrocious the service was and I was worried if I didn’t get some cool water, I’d have one of those health episodes.
Anywho, I don’t think I ever had a Mentos. I always thought those commercials were gay.

Obama was a race mongering , black power, Saul Alinsky, nationalist socialist. His method and philosophy were fascist. He meant to destroy America.He succeeded in destroying Kenya and Libya.
President Trump has saved our nation from Obama.

Electing a bigot with a chip on his shoulder against this nation (something he hated his whole life, raised abroad and on the knees of Communists) wasn’t going to take America to a post-racist age. He was a community organizer and that’s what he does, stirs up the hate. Look at Jesse “Hymietown” Jackass and Al “Jew them down” Sharpton.

The fact is that Obama ran and we were told it was to be a “post racial America”, when in fact, the administration came in and conducted policy based off their own racism. So instead, race relations are worse 8 years later; the worst since the Rodney King riots.
