this post refers to is the war between the Left and the Right.

Yes, that is the civil war George Soros wants for America.

Instead he should be in jail for fomenting civil war.

Soros is a very bad dude.

The real war going on right now is DC vs the taxpayers.

The Washingtonians want their money and are willing to destroy anybody trying to mess up their racket.

Fedgov employees at the FBI, CIA, and State dept, as well as almost all other agencies, are in full rebellion against Trump, as are the DC politicians in both parties.

Their goal is to keep Trump, and the right, from stopping the illegal alien and mozlum invasion, building a wall, cutting taxes, and repealing Obamacare.

Its clear that they wont be stopped via the electoral process, the lawyers on the courts call the shots and shut down any gains made.

Any civil war in the USA will be centered in DC and will involve the army shutting down the circus and starting brand new.

Only a provisional military government can stop the Washingtonians.

I said that many times in the last 8 years, only a provisional military gubment could save the republic but the military has been decapitated. This is why coups are done by colonels and below.

Who knows? People love to throw around acronyms to make themselves appear superior.

I prefer to assume the best about people, but YMMV.

Interesting point about the internet. What happens when the most entertained generation, the ones that have always had the internet to entertain them, get it shut off. I could see it becoming more likely to have sustained civil unrest.

Two reasons why it is unlikely as things stand now: The poorest are now the most obese. Hard to imagine them choosing the hardship sustained civil unrest would bring.

Also, we haven’t had even 65% eligible voter turnout since 1908. State and local are way less. The folks that are engaged, at least enough to vote, usually underestimate the number of folks who just don’t care enough to vote. That’s a bigger % than any single political party. Hard to imagine taking to the streets when political options aren’t even tried by so many.

IRL = In Real Life. As opposed to online.
It’s actually a very common shorthand for a combo of words used often on platforms like Twitter and Reddit and texting too. You learned something new today!

I don’t do Twitter or Reddit and I don’t text. So maybe you learned something new today. There are a whole bunch of us old folks that don’t give a crap about your acronyms. Get it?

I agree with Cobra. Can you you not spell out a 3 word phrase for the rest of us to understand, a-hole?

IMHO, the ability to think in acronym comes from a military background. As an Air Force Tech Controller, I was trained to use Q & Z signals from ACP-131. On the teletype order wire (OW) we were taught to use "short-talk" for better efficiency. Thank you was "tnks." Standby a moment was "ZUJ a tick." The Navy was the all time greatest with acronyms. Cinclantflt stood for the Commander-in-Chief of the Atlantic Fleet.

I continued in telecommunications as a technician and retired from Verizon as a Program Manager. In that field there is a vast lexicon of acronyms and terminology. When it gets to be such a habit, one doesn't think to translate for those that were never exposed to it.

Nowadays young kids that type on instant messenger, use a short code on their cell phones beyond understanding for most of us.

A lexicon of acronyms is the language of the future. It should be simpler to adapt than complain.

With your attitude, why should anybody give a crap what you give a crap about? Get it?

If you are too old and senile to remember an acronym that has been around for probably 30 years you ought to just park your brain for good and stop clogging up the internet with your curmudgeonly nonsense. You certainly have no excuse for the manner in which you are treating folks here.

Seems to me too many people assume we understand what they mean. Abbreviations have their place but it seems they are used to excess these days.

It’s the internet. People abbreviate/use acronyms to save time. New ones appear instantly and on a daily basis...at least they are new to me.

Any and all such acronyms can be searched within a few seconds.

It is not about ‘feeling superior’. It is about being aware of the internet culture. I search these things daily and it doesn’t make me feel inferior to do so. In the end, I’ve learned something.

What I find interesting is that a thread about civil war essentially results in a FREEPER civil war of sorts over an acronym not being spelled out. :-).

“IMHO”

Careful with that acronym. You might attract the ire of some folks here. And they do NOT fight clean.

“Netiquette” eludes many.

Why should someone have to research others’ writings? If they are to lazy to write a coherent sentence, I won’t bother. YMMV IMOHO

I’v definitely heard some of the same.

The flip side is that those of us on the Right have been training with firearms since we were ten or so, and have trained our kids.

I really hope the Lefties don’t get stupid about all this.

You may believe your age gives you license to be an @ss. It does not.

No one is responsible for explaining to you the things you do not know, or understand.

And surely you're old enough to understand that...without having it explained.
