The lawyers for the Michigan FGM doctors charged with performing the barbaric procedures on young Muslim girls are saying these Muslim doctors are not guilty and are being persecuted because of their religion.
Under Islamic law (sharia), they are not guilty. Under Western law, they are monsters.
One of the girls told FBI investigators that she screamed out in pain during the procedure, while another young girl said she couldn’t walk for a few days after having her clitoris mutilated.
The doctors claimed they didn’t cut the clitorises, but nicked them instead. It’s a distinction without difference. Perhaps they are taking this tack because the American Academy proposed a resolution to sanction a “ritual [clitoral] nick” back in 2010. As I warned at the time, and we see now how right I was, such a resolution would give Islamic misogyny the seal of approval by the American Academy of Pediatrics, no less. The sanction of clitordectomies, the sanction and norming of evil. We defeated that proposal, but female genital mutilation continued apace because of the increase in Muslim immigration.
These prosecutions against female genital mutilation doctors are long overdue.

Unlike male circumcision, female genital mutilation has no health benefits for girls and women.

True. And if they beat the woman or girl daily, they are not guilty of abuse, under sharia. And if a woman is raped, she must have two male witnesses to bring charges against the Muslim rapist, under sharia. Women only have half the rights of men, under sharia.
FGM is blasphemy. It says, wrongly, of course, that God was unable to make women “correctly.” If it were a right, as is claimed, then it could only legally be performed on a woman 18 or older, and who freely consents without any kind of pressure whatever. Not gonna happen.
Just like slaughtering innocent men, women and children sometimes in the most horrific manner possible for maximum effect. A mussie right.

Talk on the radio focuses on allowing this because it’s religious belief.
However, what could happen with this encroaching Moslem garbage is the courts saying hey, OK, then there IS no freedom of religion, and one cannot use that argument ever.
IOW, gov denies refusals (e.g, homo wedding refusals) are allowed based on religious grounds, because they also deny being able to mutilate.
What we need to clarify is that there is freedom for anything AS LONG AS IT DOES NOT CURTAIL THE RIGHTS OF OTHERS - which is REALLY the basis of our principles. We simply codify what is a basic natural right - to life, liberty and property (including the body). Anything violating these natural rights is verboten; doesn’t matter what one’s “religion” states. We simply will not accept it.
