Does ‘When We Rise’s’ Failure Signal End to the Culture’s Long ‘Gay Moment?’

“USA [Network’s] gay-murder mystery Eyewitness was canceled, and CBS’s Doubt—the first network television show to feature a trans actress (Laverne Cox) as a trans in a lead role—was dropped after just two shows.

But the far more visible failure is ABC’s over-hyped gay agenda mini-series When We Rise, which crashed like a cheap Pride Parade float last week.

Last month, Sears had a commercial with two brides. I only saw it twice so guessing they got enough complaints and pulled it. Obviously, Sears didn’t learn from Penney’s and Target’s mistakes.

Then there was the excellent series “Bosch” based on the Michael Connally books. In the first season, only for a few seconds in one of the episodes we find Bosch's supervisor, a woman, in a long lip lock with another female cop. That was it, but they just had to write that in. Otherwise a great series and it never came up again.

I want to mention this. I've covered it numerous times, but I think there are a lot of people out there who do not know about it.

Remember that movie "Silence of the Lambs"? The "bad guy" was a flaming Homosexual that murdered and skinned women so he could climb into a woman suit.

It highlighted the very worst and most sick of the Homosexual pervert ranks. It outraged homosexuals all over the nation, but most especially in Los Angeles, where they threw a screaming fit over it.

They went to the movie industry and screamed at them, and they threatened consequences if the industry didn't give them Veto power over scripts that portrayed homosexuals in a bad light.

The industry capitulated and created a defacto "Homosexual approval committee." They created an actual committee of Homosexuals to approve all movie scripts and they agree do abide by their decisions.

Well first this committee simply reviewed scripts for movies and television programs, but over time it became an advocacy organization pushing scripts with a pro-homosexual message. And so thereafter, we saw an explosion of pro-homosexual television programs and movies.

Now they try to put homosexual actors or characters into pretty much everything coming out of Hollywood.

And that's how we got here.

Thanks for the info. Not really surprised given some the stories on the perversion of some of the executives in Hollywood.

All they are doing is turning off their major core audiences.
This has no doubt contributed to the decline of the major networks % of the market. They shot themselves in both feet.

Add to that there were so many projects Green Lighted 18 months to two years ago that were predicated on Hillary winning and ramming down our throats even more of their agenda. Now it’s come full circle and these projects are not failing, but are failing so badly that the money that will be lost this year will be huge, you can already see it.

Then we have Disney running the Gay story line in a children’s fairy tale. Disney mind you, they may make money but they will not make what they thought by inserting that story line. If I had kids or grandkids, no way I would take them to see that.

I saw part of an interesting movie on TCM last night!

DEATHTRAP with Michael Cane and Christopher Reeve.
Suspenseful! Pulled you in! You couldn’t turn away! Intense!

Then came the queer kiss half way through and I hit the OFF button. Lost interest real quick. Don’t care to finish seeing it.

I was channel surfing a few months ago and came upon a sexy scene on a pay channel. Hot gal! Made me sweat! OK, made me twitch a little, Once they had you trapped they suddenly cut to two men kissing and having sex.
Hit the OFF button right then and tried to find some EYE BLEACH.

I think I will stick with my old 1950s and 60s movies from now on.

There’s crap stuff for men too, some would say sports are equivalent to the celebrity wife swap pregnant teen type shows, but I disagree. At least about baseball, ha. I would say all the Alaska swamp logging gold hunting shows are pretty terrible in their own way and men watch that nonsense I guess.

Pro wrestling has been using it(gay, trans) for decades, even before the Adorable Adrian Street. It’s not that much different. Millennials are more sophisticated than their parents. They know reality TV is not reality.

Really????!!! I never heard who won last year. After it was over I never saw an episode that showed the winner. If they had one, they sure didn't advertise it much.

I agree with NewHampshireDuo - change the channel when a gay couple comes on.

As a side note, for all their "gay pride" I find it interesting that about 99% of the time you can identify the "male" and "female" of the couple.

Yep. Saw that crapola as well as Hallmark commmiercial(sp-intended) with one homo taking a knee proposing to another homo and holding out an engagement ring.
