An executive order on “sanctuary cities” signed by Donald Trump on Wednesday has placed in the crosshairs over 400 cities and counties that offer some form of safe haven to America’s 11 million undocumented migrants.

These localities include some of the largest, most progressive metropolises in the United States, many of which have already begun preparations to fight one of Trump’s most aggressive campaign pledges – to force compliance with federal immigration agencies in a bid to ramp up deportations. The beginnings of that pledge that have now been formalised by executive action within Trump’s first week in office.

The order issued on Wednesday claims these jurisdictions “willfully violate federal law” causing “immeasurable harm to the American people”, and instructs the Department of Homeland Security [DHS] and the US Department of Justice [DoJ] to explore which cities could be in violation of federal law and ways of stripping sanctuary jurisdictions of federal grant money, which amounts to billions of dollars across many different federal agencies....

Yank the funding from the cities and use it to build the wall, the cities can hold their begging cup out to the Mexican government.

Which city would step up to say, “No thank you, I can live without federal funds.” Put your actions where your mouth is. But stopping federal funds should mean every dollar, from welfare to transportation to retirements to public safety, every nickle.

Up to about 60 million people should be deported. Seriously, does anyone think there is only 11 million illegal aliens in the US?!

There are too many expenditures of “ Federal funds” anyway.

Allowing FedGub to fund you always mean allowing FedGub to make decisions for you.

No not 11, definitely not 60 either. Probably closer to 20 million.

Obama’s illegal DACA program remains running as before.
It must be ended soon. Every day 140-150 new people are added to the 750,000 that have already been given work permits and permission to stay.

It’s going to get seriously weird for these cities when every invader who has a criminal record moves to them.

Nope. They are endangered by the city politicians that keep voting to protect illegal aliens. They are the cause. President Trump is the effect.

Give everyone of them amnesty and in exchange they forfeit their voting rights. Want to see how fast the narrative changes?

Between the $$$ saved by pullin federal funding from sanctuary cities and a 25% tax on remittances to Mexico, that should almost cover the cost of the wall.

Not only are the illegals taking employment from US citizens and depressing our wages, the money they send home is benefitting the Mexican economy, not American.
